I didnt realize how much faction I lost for running these missions when I started playing and ended up with pretty much -1.5 for each of the major races factions, which is still where im at. Now I am trying to understand what im supposed to do when my agent gives me faction mission after faction mission, making it so I have to wait 4 hours only to decline the next mission after just declining what was offered due to it being faction based. At the moment I cant do any missions with my current agent for 8 hours, so what am i to do if all my SP have been spent in skills for mission running, and all my money spent on ships for mission running.
I feel like I have to be missing something because at the moment there is really nothing for me to do but logoff if this is indeed how things are designed.

Ever heard the saying "don't keep all your eggs in one basket"?
Work for different agents, and you can alternate when you get stuck with missions you don't want.
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

the only good gallentean is a dead one, luckily for the minmatar they make good slaves, depending on how full my cargo is I don't mind just leaving a few of them to freeze in space.
if all your sp/money is invested in mission running what does it even matter if you can go into gallente/minmatar space anyways.
eh **** it, don't run anti faction missions, that just means the tags are worth more iskies for me.

So I should have to spend a half hour carting crap around because i dont want to lose faction... no thanks. The point is that if I had 10 million SP it may be different because id be trained up enough in other areas of the game that I could go off and do something else. The problem is that im not so im more likely to just log off which sucks because id really enjoy running some missions, working on my corp faction and making some money.
It really just seems like the whole system of missions has either been neglected or is purposely made difficult which on one hand I can understand. I can understand why they wouldnt want people to only run missions or whatever, how they would want to divert peoples activities in game to different areas. But for new players its just a huge headache and really unnecessary due to the limitations that SP create.
These are just my thoughts. I thought I was doing something wrong or not realizing something but ive spent a few minutes going through this forum and have found lots of people mentioning that this is something that they dont like. |

Well, it hurts to be you. What else can I say?
As long as faction standings won't go below -5 (before diplomacy skill) there is pretty much no downside of that faction standing losing. So stop crying.

So I can keep running those missions all the way down to -5 and it wont matter?

Yes, Kill em all. at -4.99 the faction police won't even look twice at you. And if u go below -5 train diplomacy and boom, you're ok again.

Down to 4.99. After that, you may have a small problem, depending on your style of playing.
I have my amarr standings at -8. Have no desire to ever enter the space of those religious nuts, much less doing missions for them, so I don't care at all.

errr... the tags are bought by the NPC corps. Your tags aren't worth by that. ------ Skills |

They're also bought by players who want faction mods from the LP store, and you can be sure they're paying more than NPCs do for them.

Disagree. Keep running those anti-faction missions, cheaper faction mods for me

Find a system with multiple agents for the corp you work for. You can reject 1 mission every 4 hours PER agent. That's a lot of missions if you have 2-3 agents.
Also, work for other corps and get your standings up (more agents available). I'm working for Caldari right now, but will then go back to Gallente. I only use a single ships for mission, so no need to carry a bunch of stuff around (Domi full of drones and salvagers).
Standing at -2, you cannot get any more missions from that faction, at -5, you will be attacked in their space. Just get standings with a good gallente/minmatar corp, and a good ammarr/caldari corp, and switch between them. Your standings will remain pretty high.

As long as your EFFECTIVE standing is above -5.0, you should be OK. That includes any benefit you get from Diplomacy.
As for running faction missions, take this as an opportunity to branch out and run missions for a different corp in your faction to give yourself some options. Look up eve-agents and see which corps give out combat missions in the area where you normally mission, and run some with them to give you access with all of them. Eventually once you get your own faction standing high enough, you'll be able to run missions for any corp in the faction.

Even if you are below -5 to them, you can fly through their space, of course some of these nutcases fire at your ship, but if you don't sit afk at the gate in a frigate, it shouldn't be a problem, they won't harm you too bad.
