i recently got back into frigates and i love then so i bought loads for no apperent reason and was wondering if my setups are good and how to set the others up the frigates i have are: kestrel, merlin, executioner, punisher and a tristan
kestrel: HI: 4x malkuth standard MED:1x 10mn AB, 2x cap recharger 1's LOW: 2x micro aux. (i think that all fits but i can't use the mirco aux. yet)
merlin: HI: 2x malkuth standard 2x 150mm railguns MED:same as kestrel LOW:same as kestrel
now can you suggest what would be good for the others and help on these two my gunnery skills are because i use missiles mainly andd EW so can you also suggest what gunnery skills i should learn and to which level

the reason i didn't want to use MWD is because of the sig radius thing and with a 10mn MWD you can go almost as fast my hotkey pad topic, have a look |

yeah but two micro aux to fit everything on a frig that has only two low slot seems sorta silly to me,i mean i do a fly past first, let volleys of missles go put my stasis / scram on then onth way back around you let them have another 2 volleys, but before you get into orbit dis-engage the MWD then they cant hit you anyway =p

considering also once you put the scramble / stasis on you dont need to be near the guy before the duration runs out, so you could go orbit @ 20km then come back close when the cycle of your stasis / scrambler comes out

Orbiting range is 2.5k at around 800m/s speed you are outrunning most missles. Few that you do not you can blow up with smart bomb. I had fought angel rats up to Arch Angel Scout (100k rat) in this setup so far and had no problems it all. Average hits on cruisers around 20-30 but your RoF is very very high so it builds up damage very fast and gattling lasers have very good tracking (with bonuses tracking is over .3). I have not tried it against battleships, probably would get owned with cruise missles although with new changes who knows. Last night did blockade mission and took out 3 pirate escorts and frigate which are some of the harder fights in level 3 missions. Recharge is pretty good in this setup and guns do not take much power so it is possible to shield boost quite often in a fight while maintaining AB to take care of some small damage that happens once in a while.
Fitting Skills: eng 5, weapon upg 3, controlled burst 3, amarr frigate 3, electronic 4. Energy usage skills at 4.

High Slots: 3 x Gatling Pulse Lasers 1 x Small named nosferatu
Med: 1 x 10mn AB 1 x Small named Shield Booster
Low: 3 x RCU 1s 1 x Cap Relay 1
This can easily take out frigs and cruisers on its own and i've heard people kill battleships too with similar setups ----------

High Slots: 3 x Gatling Pulse Lasers 1 x Small named nosferatu
Med: 1 x 10mn AB 1 x Small named Shield Booster
Low: 3 x RCU 1s 1 x Cap Relay 1
This can easily take out frigs and cruisers on its own and i've heard people kill battleships too with similar setups ----------

Merlin doesn't need cap rechargers with the micro aux's and the 10mn ab. With energy management 4 it has 300cap, and with the 10mn ab running it won't go below about 50% cap. You won't be able to fit 2 150s, it's a squeeze to fit 2 neutron blasters and 2 rocket launchers with the micro auxs and engineering 5 even, while using the 10mn ab. So you'd most likely need to use a 150 and 125 combo.
Kestrel is fairly simple to setup right.

Merlin doesn't need cap rechargers with the micro aux's and the 10mn ab. With energy management 4 it has 300cap, and with the 10mn ab running it won't go below about 50% cap. You won't be able to fit 2 150s, it's a squeeze to fit 2 neutron blasters and 2 rocket launchers with the micro auxs and engineering 5 even, while using the 10mn ab. So you'd most likely need to use a 150 and 125 combo.
Kestrel is fairly simple to setup right.

I agree. I didn't manage to fit 2x 150mm on my merlin either. Currently running 1x 150mm, 1x 125mm and 2 missile launchers filled with light missiles
