So, at what point should I force quit the patcher? downloaded 84609-85476, iPatch 3.7 runs and sticks at about 95% on the progress bar. At what point is it more time efficient to force quite the patcher and download the complete client? Please show workings and base answer on the earliest time I can expect to be playing the game.

well, you're lucky. for me iPatch force quit itself. i'm redownloading the client now. have you considered beginning the download of the full client and seeing which finishes first, the download or ipatch?

downloading as we speak, when is patching going to work for the Mac client or should I always reload the whole client every time they patch?

Alleghani, my iPatch hung also at 95%, for at least 45 min, but then finished, so perhaps if it doesn't fail on its own you should wait it out?? not sure...

Edited by: Wolf Hannari on 26/03/2009 13:28:07 It took a few minutes but finally restarted for me. Quicker than a full install download.
EDIT: maybe 5 minutes at most for me.

I'm in the same boat - patch sitting there at 95% or so. Based on the last comment i'm going to let it go for a bit though, and start downloading the full client, just in case. -------------- We build the stuff you need! Call for more info. |

OP, don't force quit, it sits as 95% for ages then finished. Worked OK for me. (new iMac).

Stuck for ages, cleared out some space on my harddrive, and waited... Now logged on.

For me the patch hung at about 97% for approximately fifteen minutes, but after that, the patch went through.

I killed mine after a long wait, which resulted in a corrupted eve client. I am currently downloading a new one. -

Man, the client is turning into a piece of crap!!!!! The glitches are enough of a p-off, but to have to download a 4 g file every time they put out a patch is ridiculous.

I was patient and sat there waiting, I guess it took around ten minutes to patch on a Mac Pro.
No need to download the whole client, just wait it out. --

I let mine go after getting stuck at 95%, it eventually patched and now I get exception raised when I try to play, can't even get to login screen. Downloading new client now.

I found my problem with the patcher. As I altered the config file for more fps this apparently is causing the exception. I trashed the config file and it works. Just needed to do the tweaks from the thread, just the two and I am back to 30 to 40 fps.

Don't force quit it. Be patient. Go get some coffee or something (at least, that's what I did).
Somehow I think that a 37.8 MB patch will download much faster than a 3.5+GB client, even if the patcher's status bar get's "stuck" (we Mac users love our accurate status bars, don't we?).
