About Me:
I'm a 38 year old software engineer from Ohio.
I have a long history of MMOs/Gaming.
Pretty laid back guy with a desire to learn.
I don't talk much and not very outgoing. (I'm trying to curb this)
I am not an avid PvPer but I will from time to time.
My Pilot:
My Pilot joined the academy about a year ago, didn't make the cut and dropped out after 14 days. After trying out several other careers I've come back to try my had a piloting again.
Back when I first joined I wasn't completely sure what skills I needed to focus on. So some of my talents are not typical of a new pilot (I assume).
Right now my focus is on Engineering and Leadership. I was hoping this would allow me to be an asset to fleets. (I may be wrong.
I'm interested in learning more about Fleet tactics as well as Science and Research. (As you can see, I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing)
About my Ideal Corp:
1. The name of the corp MUST be spelled correctly. (i.e. Capitalized correctly (no all lowercase or uppercase, or 1337 spellings)).
2. No silly corp names. (I don't want to be in the butt pirates or Fluffy Bunnies of Agonizing Doom)
* PS: No offense to corps like this, it's just not my thing.
Everyone is entitled to play the way they want.
3. Corp should be well structured. I like structure.
4. RP is cool. (If I RP I'll have to switch pilots as my main pilot if Female, I won't RP a female character.)
5. Willingness to accept a newbie.
6. Have active players and events during US times.
7. Caldari based or friendly
8. Mature members..
I know I'm asking a lot and seem really picky but, if I am going to spending a lot of my time with this Corp... I want it to be a good fit.
I would assume most Corps would like to bring on Pilots who fit as well. So it's mutually beneficial that I try as hard as I can to find the proper Corp.

If you're interested in a w-space colony I'd love to chat with you. The colony involves a mix of activities ranging from stellar cartography to research, along the way covering defending our home from players, mining, fighting sleepers, reverse engineering, hauling, and local production, basically everything you would expect to need in a self-sufficient colony.
The downsides are manifold. W-space is dangerous, both from sleepers and players. We're also often isolated, can go days without a route to k-space.
More pertinently to you we're still in the early phases of things are organizing and setting up. So we might not meet your desire for a well-structured group. Until it shakes out our current structure is pretty fluid, once we figure out a good structure we'll stick with it. We aren't opposed to structure philosophically, just working it out still.
Anyhow, if that sounds like fun convo or mail me in game. If it doesn't, then good luck on your search for a corp you'll enjoy.

Thanks to all who replied both here and in game. I've talked to a few CEOs but have a few more to contact.
Some really good people out there... I was surprised how helpful and friendly most people were I talked to.

hey
i understand where you are coming from we (c-nex) are a small ish corp of 25+ people wife, kids ect.
who like to tun missions pvp and talk we understand that rl comes first. we have no issues teaching noobs with fits, tactics, trade, manufacturing, exploration, missions really anything.
we are us time zones (gmt -5 and -6) and our alliance has a good coverage of time zones.
you look like some one that we could help out
we have access to all lvl 4 and 5 agents for gal and min.
we do have jihad days were we run missions in cruisers ( every one can do them in battleships but we get bored with that)
more about having fun than talking about mission completion times or profit margins after all it is a game.
vent , alliance killboard forums all that jazz

You need to log into www.eve-online.com website and select Kieryn as your main character. It should then default all posts to that char.

We meet your requests to quite an extent, only thing missing is the Caldari alignment. However, we *do* have some pilots with really good standings for high-level missions
Seriously, City of Certitude is quite much what you're describing in your op. You're obviously smarter than most aswell; we provide a haven for such pilots with ease and experience
