I downloaded the patch, some error came up and now it says I have to download the full game again because my client files are corrupt now.
Anything that I can do besides that?

Stop playing or live with it, like i've been doing for the last 3 years. And yes, I'm downloading the full client again due to manually downloaded "corrupt patch".

I have been having the same issue, have tried uninstalling, and a fresh dl, same outcome. am working on trying to figure out what is wrong now, will post if I figure anything out

nice carmen .... every patch for the last 18mths i've had to download a new client ... starts getting old fast ... even when you just need a 3.8mb update and have to D/L the full client ... so have abit of compassion

is there some kind of mirror or something I can download the installer from. Every time I download it using CCP's autodownloader it gets corrupted.

Go here: http://www.eveonline.com/download/?fallback=1&
and download the "offline" installer.
You notice the "fallback=1" parameter? That's because they know this **** fails often but they dont care about some players having to download 2 GIGABYTES every time they release a patch to the game.
I've doing this **** for 3 years now, you might say i love sadism or something, and i'm starting to think if its worth doing paying a game for this.

Also please dont miss the first sentence in that page: "Your EVE Online installer has failed because of download problems or corrupt data. Please download the full install package below."
That's pure sarcasm to me everytime i read it.

Bah what utter bull****. Downloaded the installer last night, installed, patched today, corrupted, now have to redownload installer AGAIN.
Thanks CCP, thanks for wasting my bandwidth. Thanks for being idiots. Thanks for making me redownload the whole ****ing 2GB file instead of making the 20MB patch available, since whatever got corrupted HAD to be part of the patch.
This kind of **** really hurts those of us who have monthly bandwidth caps.

CRC errors on Vista 64 SP1 too, although the MD5 checksum that Chribba posted in a thread somewhere is correct.
While I was first able to get around the CRC error by extracting the 7zip installer package on my Mac, yesterdays patch Apocrypha 1.0.2 is broken on both Windows and Mac now. Well done, CCP! At least the Mac client doesn't need to get installed but just gets dragged and dropped.

Move along, nothing to see here
Known issue currently being ignored by CCP while they pleasure the goats in their lurve room.
Expect NO fix, expect NO reply (except the removal of my posts), expect NO sympathy.
BTW: Ive downloaded the FULL client 8 times since yesterdays failpatch (twice via torrent) and have recieved the 'CRC' error, 'unexpected end of archive' error etc each time.
Ask to use the Goats Pleasure Palace when you visit the Fanfest this year |
