I dont know what happened in the last patch but the sensor booster visual is really annoying and doesnt really represent anything you would think is sensor boosting...The classic version was far better. My booster visual isnt even centered on ship and just looks like light shineing through water. Just a though, but it should be something more like the old pulsating rings....the original apocrypha visual was actually cool.
oh and Armor tanks are over powered so Nerf them pls.

I have been staring at it for a while now and it annoys the crap out of me and it makes me need to rant!.
Why on earth change something what was fine ? I have heard many people say 'yeah that original apocrypha sensor booster effect was just right, well done ccp, its subtle but cool looking.'
Then suddenly out of the blue comes this horrendous pain in the eye effect that makes no sense whatsoever and creates headaches/migraines nerves/stress anger/roadrage and possibly suicide.
Raaaaage!

CCP should allow people to customize effects
Default new style can be the "noob/carebear" version
But there must be a "hardcore" version - where effects are clearly defined, less pretty but much more distinct and clear cut. There are plenty of people who value game logic significantly more than eye candy, especially when that eye candy starts interfering with their ability to get information from the game world

A more EVE politically correct term would be enhanced combat overlay, and you could make it look fancy, technical and functional.

a hardcore game like EVE shouldn't worry about political correctness
and griefing of carebears should be encouraged and promoted as a game feature
but whatever, just get some more clearly defined visual effects

I totally hate the new effect to be honest. I barely saw the old effects, but from what I can tell, it was subtle enough not to annoy, but still strong enough to be visible. The current one looks like the ship is in a state of pre-explosion.

It's probably intentional, I've already getting the idea the CCP effects team either have no taste or it's a massive struggle with eves capabilities to create one half decent effect.
I mean look at the wormhole effect, looks nice so they stuck it on practically everything they could get away with, even on stuff that looked better as it was like cyno.

I hate the new sensor booster effect - me not like!
CCP, why did you change it, the old effect was subtle and nice.
