You need more powergrid
There are plenty of skills which will improve it. "Engineering" will give +5% output per level, for every ship. This will help.
Then there are a bunch of other skills inside that group (Engineering) that will help, reducing some modules power needs, and so on. Open the market window, go to Skills, Engineering, and browse all the available ones. Dont forget to check prerequisites.

Edited by: Gartel Reiman on 28/03/2009 14:36:33 As noted above, you can train skills to increase your ship's powergrid, as well as fit modules in the lowslots to do the same thing. There is also a series of implants you can use that will increase the powergrid of your ship; if you only need a tiny increase then the 1% PG implant in particular is extremely affordable and IIRC only needs Cybernetics level 1 to use.
There is a fourth option open to you to solve your problem too - use less power-hungry modules. I'll assume that you're fitting 150mm railguns; if you were to switch them all for 125mm railguns, then you could probably have them all online at once.
Also, while you may be able to online all 7 of the larger guns with a powergrid modifier in the low slot, it will probably turn out that you'll actually do more damage with 7 125mm rails and a Magnetic Field Stabiliser, than you would with 7 150mm rails and no MFS (because the powergrid mod is in that same lowslot). Additionally, the 125mm rails would have better tracking which is nothing to turn up your nose at. Alternatively, if range was more important than damage you could fit a Tracking Enhancer with the 125mm rails for a range increase (and yet more tracking increase).
In short, while it is possible to fit low-slot items to increase your powergrid - if you're doing this in order to fit the biggest weapons possible, it's usually better to drop the weapons down to the next lowest tier, and use the lowslot for a weapon-improving module instead. There's no hard-and-fast rules when fitting ships in EVE, but it's a good rule of thumb to bear in mind; try a setup with slightly smaller guns and see how it compares to the big guns + MAPC approach.
