Up for auction are 72,800 shares of Ihatalo Research and Development common stock.
How much are these shares worth??
Well I purchased my shares in 2008 at 21k/share. Since then they have increased in value to 49k/share based on corp assets and paid out a total of 15.06k/share in dividends.
So in 15 months my 1.528bln invstment has a total value of 4.664bln.
3.136 bln profit/1.528 bln/15 months = 13.7% average return / month (and thats including some very slow months; IRD is VERY active recently)
You will be hard pressed to find another investment of similar size with similar returns.
Why are you selling??
I can earn isk on my own as evidenced by my recent trading activities. However, I cannot accellerate my sp earnings. I am considering purchase of a 50-70m sp pvp character and will need liquid assets to do so.
How do I know these are worth what you have stated?
The following details on share value and dividend history are released with the permission of Ulecese:

Estimated IRD NAV : ask Ulecese, I won't release this info publicly unless he chooses to do so. do some math though to figure it out... :-P

yeah sorry, only sold as a complete lot so that bidding is feasible. otherwise I'd end up witht he same 10 shares being bid on over and over again :(

i mean bid on the price of the share. and not the bulk ?

Sure he could sell them individually but he's choosing not to. The hassle of keeping track of bids on that many individual shares and arranging the (secure) transfer would be too much for anyone.

It also promotes buying large amounts rather than conscientious purchasing.
Supermarkets do it pretty often with "Hey look! 10 tins of tuna for $10!" without telling you they only cost $1 each anyway.

all the reasons mentioned here are good explanations.
my main reason for splitting it at all was I know not everyone has 3-6bln isk sitting around. but many more have 400-600 mln and may be interested in investing that amount.
I could have split it further but I may also only have 2 or 3 interested parties and then I would not be takign full advantage of their bidding against each other on bulk quantities (thus the reason rare diamonds are not started with no reserve on ebay. etc)
as was suggested by ji, it would be very easy for you to split the lot among multiple people later, if you so desire, so feel more than welcome to gather a consortium and make a play on a lot. But, I will only accept one name per lot as the winning bidder. I wish I could help more but as you can imagine 50m size lots would mean 50-80 winning bidders. Not very reasonable especially if I involve a paid 3rd party for the transfer.

price still far below current value and certainly doesn't take into account any future profits so happy bidding! keep in mind, in addition to the dividend these shares see regular value increases based on net asset changes of the corp.

Indeed - I placed an earlier bid but indeed sniped on the final amount as there was no rule against it.
The final post as you can see, is not edited and was very luckily summitted at 20:00 on the dot (methinks I cut it a little too fine...)
