Yes, you too can be a space cop.
You get notified of criminal acts and their current location.
You have the authority to pop bad guys.
And if you cross the line, you get fired.

"Criminal acts" make people a target to anyone in high sec. Your idea makes no sense.

I think that would be great.
ANd i does make sense in the way of people braking the law by shooting people in high sec and then as concord members being able to stop them instead of a CONCORD blob jumping in doing it in a 2 secs.
Letting Player Police handle it.
I know it would be a bit of tweaking making it work but i think it's a good idea.

this would be a great fun I think but you have to put some restrictions on this in order to prevent all people joining CONCORD willingly to blow random guys in space additionaly to their usual business.
But hunting outlaws in high sec hiding from the usual npc-concord would be a considerable job for them.
What uber ship would you provide to them allowing doing their job?

Right... because no one has ever watched "The Shield" before.
How awesome would it be, to let players join the invincible NPC police force, and then turn dirty cop and abuse their Game given power.
How about we just get a functional and balanced Bounty system... and maybe look at some of the (very common) Bounty Hunter threads that pop up in here from time to time.

this sounds like an interesting idea but becoming space cops would put aside the whole reason for CONCORD being there. Maybe you could join a special division of CONCORD if your standings were 8.0+, and you were granted the permission to kill bounty marked players in .7 or higher.
if not just let us do missions for concord and earn the LP to fly their wicked looking ships :)
