I would like to do some FW so i tried to join the militia but i was not allowed because i need a standing of 0.5 and i have a standing of 0.18 with the Gallente Federation.
I am doing lots of missions and sometimes i'm looking for rats in 0.5 space. I also trained social to improve my standing with agents but does this has any effect on the gallente standing?
I also have lots of tags from caldari midshipman and captains. I've heard that i can sell those tags somewhere to improve my standing but i'm not really sure about this...
Are there any other ways to improve my standing because the mission runnings will take lots of time... It will take at least another month to get me to 0.5 on this tempo...
All the missions i do are for the federation navy corperation so i guess this is gallente so i believe this would help?

Train "Connections" this affects factions and corporations standings.
In case you got negative standings, u need "Diplomacy" skill. Does the same as connections but its for corps and factions who dislike you. (negative standing, below null)
Ratting doesnt affect faction standing. Well, only affects a particular faction: CONCORD. standing with concord is also known as "security status" (check both them, must be the same).
To improve Gallente faction standings u need to work for gallente agents for a while. Each bunch of missions (16x lvl1, 8x lvl2, 4x lvl3 or 2x lvl4) you receive a random evemail from a faction storyline agent. Obviously if you have been working for Gallente, the storyline mission will be Gallente. He will offer a mission which will raise that faction standing.
Oh im not sure about the amount of missions you need (16,8,4,2) cause I usually do level 3 and im sure I dont get a storyline each 4 lol. Just keep working for same agents till receive the damn evemail

I think you get a storyline mission after you complete 15 missions.
Edit- I checked the EVElopedia and you get a storyline mission after you complete 16 missions.

No, you need 0.5 "raw" standings. The Social Skills help for just about everything else, but not FW eligibility.
Edit: You could always just join a player-run corp that is already in FW. In that case, the standings required are based off the corp avereage; not yours. If you do this, and start doing FW things, your own personal standings will rise very fast anyway.
