idk but well , isn't the phoon a decent battleship :S....
I hear people talking about mimmatar being pure fail etcetc. but the only real ship they're talking about is the tempest ...
in for instance a RR gang you can be very usefull in a phoon. Fit 4x siege launchers 2 RRs and 2 neuts/cap transfers/autoconannons.
You can get a decent buffer with trimark pumps ....
The mael has a beast of an active tank , making it usefull in smaller engagements .. am I fight ?
So in theory you could use a phoon for RR bs gangs , the mael in empire gatecamping stuff and then you only need a sniper ... ?
Tempest isn't too bad at that isn't it :S , it has a huge alpha ....
I'm not flying mimmatar myself , let me tell you that. But I think people are a bit too pesimistic about mimmatar here

Minmatar are the most lacking all around but they have a couple of notably good ships(T1 cruisers and frigs really dont count) as long as the circumstances are right.
Broadsword - Best HIC all the time.
Vagabond - Still doies the speed thing well.
Typhoon - A great BS if you have high skills
Hurricane - Best PVP battle cruiser.
Everything else is either generic with other ships of the same class(Interceptors, Cov Ops etc.)
Or they are seriously sub par - Munin, Tempest, Maelstrom.
Basically Minmatar is an awful lot of training to get a few ships for specific circumstances.
I'd say a munin is a better sniperhac as a deimos or eagle ...
mimmatar commandships are also good, altough they only really shine while active tanking ...

Rage torps and hail, no painter even, congratulations dude, you can open EFT.
For all practical reasons, the phoon is outdamaged by the raven and megathron, and the geddon at any sort of respectable range.
Astro why are you always negative about mimmatar ships .... ?
there must be some good things on them .... else ccp balancing team would find it out. Or are they also flying amarr ships and want them to be the best in game and the answer to everything :S.....
