This is a lottery for an Aeon type mothership. While I could simply just sell it I thought I'd see how a MS lottery runs for the experience of things, and hopefully earn a bit extra ISK compared to if I sell it.
Basic lottery information
You will be purchasing tickets for 10 million ISK each, no limit to the amount of tickets. I aim to sell 2,000 tickets, in total returning 20 billion ISK, but I may chose to close the ticket sales at an earlier point if I see the interest decreasing and thus speeding up the end of the lottery and faster annoucing of a winner.
Prize: Aeon mothership, complete with modules, fighters/drones, fuel and rigs
Number of tickets in total: Between 1,500 and 2,000 depending on interest (lottery will be closed when reaching 2,000)
Lottery ends on Sunday, April 12th, 18:00 or when 2,000 tickets has been sold.
How will a winner be picked and how can we verify the winning number?
As there will be somewhere around 1,500 to 2,000 tickets in total I've chosen to simply put all the pilots into a database, and upon picking winner simply running a select statement ("select pilot from tickets order by newid()" - MSSQL), and the name that comes up is the winner.
While you cannot verify this via external sites and/or media it simply comes down to trust.
Cool, so how do I get tickets?
Buying tickets is simple, each ticket cost 10 million ISK and you can buy as many as you would like. Simply send the amount of ISK for your wanted number of tickets to me - Chribba (ensure that you type it correctly) AND - and this is important! - Add the message MS001 in the message line, the message will enable me to track your ticket and insert it into the drawing database properly.
ISK that is sent NOT having the MS001 message will be seen as a donation to me and will NOT be a part of the lottery.
Examples:
If you want to buy one ticket, send 10,000,000 ISK to Chribba with the message MS001
If you want to buy two tickets, send 20,000,000 ISK to Chribba with the message MS001
If you want to buy fifty tickets, send 500,000,000 ISK to Chribba with the message MS001
Of course you can send 10 million now and 20 million later, that won't make any difference, in total you will still have bought 3 tickets. So you can either send per ticket or in one sum, as long as they wear the correct message, the number of tickets will be correct.
Tickets will only be counted in the steps of 10, for example sending 12 million ISK will still only be counted as one ticket, and 2 million ISK will be treated as a donation. Sending 9,999,999.99 ISK will give you ZERO tickets as it will be rounded down.
IMPORTANT! READ THIS TWICE!
Tickets cost 10 million each.
ISK needs to be sent to Chribba with the message MS001
A confirmation page will be available shortly so you can see how many tickets you have purchased and that your name is in the database. The data is imported on regular intervals via the API so it may take a few hours for it to show up.
And if all of the above fails or if the general attitude leans towards this being a horrible idea, your ISK will be returned and I will have to spend a few hours reversing all transactions brrr

Well a Wyvern would be nice, as I cßn fly that one :)
But as long as there is an option I'll go for one ticket :D
(don't like winning with 10 bil worth of tickets, you get lucky or you don't imo ;D)

btw how often does the http://eve-files.com/tools/mslottery.dxd page update? and does the ms001 tag need to be in caps etc.

I have to update it manually atm so I try update at least once an hour while I can. And the text can be either, but I would prefer upper-case if possible as it helps me see the transactions and any transactions looking different easier.

Will the winner be EvEmailed as I don't always check forums as often as I should?
Will it be delivered (to a lowsec sys of course) or will it's location be sent with said EvEMail?
How long will the winner have to collect?
Not that I'm banking on winning, as I'm on pretty haphazard. It would be annoying to win and not know it until several weeks after.
Got 5 tickets anyway, GL all.
Shoot 1st, shoot some more, keep shooting, some more shot, and if anyones alive after ask a few questions.
