There have been a couple of times now, when I say, think or do something and then pause and go "did I really just do that? Sheesh, maybe I play eve more than I should.."
I was thinking about this last night while playing GTAIV on XBL (Dont worry, I had eve up on my other screen, I was station camping and it was boring me). I shot at some guy's car til it caught fire. He fled on foot and I followed and killed him. I was in the exact same state of mind that I am in when I pop someone in eve and try to get their pod. I was like "sweet, killed and podded."
A while ago, I was driving home from work and there were a bunch of cops 'camping' an intersection. It was just a regular checkstop. But what ran through my mind when I saw them all there? "OH ****, GATECAMP!"
Earlier than that, I am told by my wife that I was dreaming and woke her up in the middle of the night. She said I was mumbling something about 'getting concorded.' Still have no idea what I was dreaming about, but I guess my dream self probably has a lower sec status now..
So, those are some instances where I have realized I probably play an unhealthy amount of eve.. share yours.

Oh? Care to link a thread or two for my viewing pleasure? Searching for things like 'play too much' and 'addiction' here is like Ahnold shooting fish in a barrel..
edit: I need to know I'm not the only one who does things like this :P

After making a purchase online I selected the "In Store Pick-Up". The nearest store wasn't in my town. My thought? "To many jumps away, screw it, I'll just set up a courier contract..."

A friend of mine and myself were driving one night and saw a car smashed against a lightpost with like eight cop cars around it, probably the end of a car chase. My friend looks over and says "someone just got concorded" and I nearly died laughing.

Sounds like me just about every time I play drunk and wake up the next morning looking at all the market withdrawals in the wallet, asking myself why the hell did I cargo rig that rattlesnake...?!

only once in 5 years have i had a RL eve moment.
I dreamt that my thorax was blown up, this was only a year ago, so i had cap ships all that gubbins etc, but for some reason in my dream losing this rax made me so angry, dont know how i lost it, all i know is i woke up suddenly thinking oh **** i lost my ship.
then spent the next 5 mins where u do that, was that a dream, wtf has just happened, oh computer is not on, im in bed.. must have been a dream! odd

I had to turn off the sound permanently around 4 years ago when I started hearing "warp drive active" and various other autopilot phrases randomly thoughout the day in RL.

The only time it has ever hit me that I played Eve too much, was when I tried to left click and move the cam around to get a better angle when watching Eve videos or looking at a screenie. Also rolling the mouse wheel to zoom in as well.

For me, yesterday I was feeling very ill (still am). I was asleep on the couch, and woke up yelling something about murdering every Gallente I saw.

I once dreamed about a lvl5 mission that had a titan, and it doomsdayed every 5 seconds killing you all the time and you could never kill it.

I work for a hotel and I usually just tell my guests to have a nice day, or something else generic. Without even thinking about it, I told a guest I was checking out, to "Fly safe." The worst part was that they were not flying home, but driving! |

I do this quite a bit. :) or hovering over the mods trying to see what they are...

Just yesterday when I got home for work after hearing about the computer worm set to be active April 1st. The first thing i did was turn on my computer and set Long Skill changes for my toons just in case my Comp crashed and it was a few days before i got it fixed or a new one.
Probably would have made more sense to update the fire wall and virus software but you have to have priorities

I've reset the sounds on my work PC so that every time I log in it says "Auto Pilot Engaged". New e-mails get "Docking permission requested" and critical errors now play the sound of a pod being destroyed (that one is getting a bit annoying). Basically every sound in Windows is now remapped to play a sound from Eve.
