Hi me and my corpies were talking about wether or not when your able to cloak, can a target see you once they've been locked?

you cannot lock while cloaked, and im lead to believe you cannot cloak once youve been locked. not 100% on that though

I've just trained lvl 1 Cloaking and fitted a Proto Cloaking Device and after some tests I've found:
- You can't cloak within 2km of any other object
- You can't cloak whilst targetted by anything
- You can't enter warp while cloaked
- You can't activate any modules whilst cloaked
- You can't target anything whilst cloaked
- You can't target anything for 30 secs after uncloaking (-10%/lvl and Improved/Covert Ops differ) nor use any weapons (including non targetted, eg FOF, Smartbombs)
I understand that the Covert Op frigs used in combination with a Covert Op cloak are able to enter warp, and can travel at maximum speed whilst cloaked, but for the rest, the above restrictions apply. If you're cloaked, you won't show up on the scanner nor on the screen. If you target someone and then cloak before you're targetted in return, you can cloak, but break your lock.

Yes but noone can tell where you are they just know your in system so you can smack talk as much as you like

With Covert Ops Cloak device on a Covert Ops Frigate you CAN warp whilst cloaked.
If you auto pilot through a gate you remain cloaked as the jump distance exceeds the 2km cloaking restriction.
Then again "Covert" wouldn't be "Covert" if you couldn't remain cloaked even whilst jumping

From reading other post it appears that jumping while cloaked is rather buggy an you actually autopilot to the gate without jumping and thus uncloak since you get too close... your ship then floats uncloaked and defenseless befor jumping after a random period of time..

Also, when your opponent has started locking before you start to cloak, cloaking is impossible.
And if you start cloaking before he started locking you, his lock will fail.

Can a cloacked ship be found by using ship range scanner or directional scanner?
Maybe not exactly found but at least is there any information about cloacked ship if it's somewhere in range or "Range Scan"?

no, the only way of de-cloaking a ship is to get within 2km of it! a good tactic is to use drones as they can also de-cloak it or smartbombs
