Hey
Im a fps player, Quake 3, Counter Strike, so its a bit different playing Eve.
I would just like to say, im very impressed with the graphics, sound and gameplay. I have started off, done 3 missions, I was wondering what to do now? Can someone point me in the direction of a newbie FAQ? Or something similar?

Do tutorial missions and agent that your tutor refers you to. This should give you a good grasp of the situation in newbie eyes.
EvE is however for more patient players. Ones that have time to plan and execute their strategies. Not numbless shooting of everything that moves like quake and so forth. Even PVP in EvE is much more strategic than pretty much any FPS out there (aside from JOps may be)
Just my humble opinion of course

yeah i will say the samme finish the tutorial missions and then look in the recruitment channel find you a good "real" corp they will be your best help
many player corps give you free frigates when joining some even give you free cruisers either way find a small corp (20-30 members) that is willing to teach you the robes
oh and welcome to EVE the best game (of its type) out there
