No specific date set yet. We're just getting a feel for the number of likely participants. There is no entry fee. Check out Executive Order to see how we're planning on setting it up. If you might be inclined to throw an alt or your under 5 month-old main in a cheap ship at this, please post here.
Thanks for reading!

So quickly, by this response.. just so I have this clear, no one would be interested in flying a frigate onto a battlefield by yourself and getting paid 50 million isk? LOL, ok....

Depending on where and when, I could likely bring myself and another member. The only thing I wonder about, is the difference between a 5 month old alt and even a 2 month old alt can be night and day. Not saying age is always the factor, but in this game it can so easily become one especially for new players.
edit..
btw when you say T1, do you just mean T1 hulls or also T1 equipment?

It will be held in Caldari space, Poinen system, and will be either next weekend or the one thereafter. We plan on having many tourneys and other (large frigate gang pvp) ops as well that will not have an age limitation.
True there can be a huge skill difference within the 5 months, but we're just trying to even it out a bit, not perfectly. In the last-man standing format, the number of kills you get doesn't ensure that you will win, so a relative newbie to pvp can easily take home one of the prizes.
We're going to move forward with this, so check out channel CONTEST in game for more information.
edit: T1 hulls. You can bring whatever equipment (except rigs and cloaks) that you want. The entire rules and format are posted at Executive Order Website

I have no interest in PvP. I suck at PvP. I don't want others to know I suck at PvP.
Oh, wait....

This is an awesome idea. Too often new players are bombarded by "you can't pvp until you've been training at least 6 months, you can't pvp in anything under a battlecruiser, it's a lolfit if it's not all t2 equipment."
so much so that as a new player it feels like you're not allowed to play the game during your first 6 months in which you've already paid a total of $94.70 in subscription.
Very few FCs will take you until you're at least in a battleship or a T2 ship.
Currently I could afford to lose frigates all day but losing a battlecruiser would set me back a very long time. So new players need somewhere to fly these frigates and actually learn to fight rather than showing up and being popped in .5 seconds by a t2 battleship flown by a 3 year old character.
I think there should be some gladiator type arena with different "weight" classes like boxing has. I think you're idea here is a good start to something like that.
