Hey All,
Do energy vampires actually work on PVE ships? Google/forum searches yielded no definitive results.
Thanks,

ya they give you cap if you are draining them, don't know if they cap out or what not. I am in Factional Warfare. Have been from day one.-á-áI will never work for a mega corp in null-sec. Do not make FW like null-sec.-áMake FW worth our time. Reword us for what we already do.Give us some more activities to do. |

I think they do. However, if you're in nos range in most PvE, there's something very wrong. At that range, the rats can use their scram, web, TP, TD, etc. and also hit you with their full damage (if they can track you). PvE with a nos is possible, but risky. Rats have limited cap, but can run their mods with -1 cap. There's some speculation that the boosting/repping chance is lowered if they have no cap, but that's something I don't know. |

From my own experience, I think both Energy Vampires and Energy Neutralizers work in PvE, just on a more limited basis.
Energy Neutralizers used on NPCs feel like they lower the activation rate for their NON-weapon modules, like shield / armor boosters and E-war / warp jammers. It's not possible to "cap out" an NPC.
Energy Vampires used on NPCs do give you extra cap, but it seems like only for the first few cycles, then they give you nothing. They have no noticeable effect on enemy modules that I can tell. Is this sig EVE related? |
