Edited by: MooKids on 23/08/2004 21:44:27 Right now I have Caldari Frigate trained to 5 and can fly all their elite frigates. Now I want to train up for another race, Amarr, Minmatar or Gallente. It takes me 15 days to train up any of them to 5 and don't want to spend a month and a half training them all up, so I want some recommendations on which race I should get next. I asked my corpmates, but they all say something different.
You can ignore Covert Ops frigates, as I am content with my Buzzard right now. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

Edited by: Cruz on 23/08/2004 21:58:22 Depends on what you want.
IMO Crusader and Taranis are about equal when it comes to PVP. Taranis can do major damage to anything and kill it real quick, but crusader can also do massive damage to anything while maintaining a slightly longer range then the taranis.
basically, with taranis you will always have to get within 2km of someone to kill them, while with crusader you can go from 7km->16km and still do good damage by varying your crystals. You will do less damage then a taranis because the taranis gets a ncie 25% ROF adn Damage bonus, while crusader only gets a 25% ROF bonus, but crusader also ahs 4 turrets while taranis only has 3. Reason taranis does more is because blasters are better ;-)
So
Taranis = pwnage but risk
Crusader = a bit less pwnage but much safer to fly.
Plus with Amarr you get to fly Malediction too which is a very nice interceptor.
You should also think about assault frigates, enyo's seem very mean from their stats.
I would say train both amarr and gallente, minmatar look kinda sucky though I dont fly them. In fact the only time ive flown an interceptor is on chaos when I had every frigate skill at lvl V Everything I said above is from forum whoring and from what people in game tell me about their interceptors, and LOTS of frigate flying. ................. |

Go for the Amarr, because the Crusader is a lot different to the Crow (no ammo etc, makes a change anyway) and the Malediction looks absolute badass (and is a brilliant ship to boot, less damage but more flexibility than a Crusader).

Right now I am starting to think Gallente, mainly because of the bonus some Gallente ships get for hybrids and I am already planning on small hybrid weapon specialization skills, but more feedback wouldn't hurt. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

Go Minmatar, just to be different.
I trained Amarr just to be different, but now more people are flying crusaders and maledictions. I was flying a crusader and malediction back when people didnt even know what they were.
