Hoooooooorah, I'm currently 300/388 in queue on fileplanet, must get it downloaded tonight to play it once before I sleep. A glorious day indeed, Hail Caesar! Let's have your opinions here when you get the cance to play it, I know theres a lot of Medieval Players are here.

Are you blind, I said I was in the queue on FILEPLANET, you know, proberly the most famous game-files site on the entire net. Anyways, 142 in the queue now, not long to go.

You can get it from here: Filefront. It's usually works better for me, As I can't the stand the wait times for fileplanet. I get all my stuff from here and usually don't have a wait time on their public servers or need to log in like fileplanet.

Took me about 30 mins to download from filefront. Only played it briefly but it certainly seems absolute quality Those elephants wtfpwn  Anyone know the UK release date ? Me wants

Well, amazon.co.uk lists as being oct 1 , with a sept 22 release for the US. But, as pc games go, that is what's currently listed subject to change of course. It's ok, I can wait patiently, as I own the previous two games in the total war trilogy I just play those until it comes out. And, after looking at this demo for a little bit, they are truly improving this series as they go along. I'm just loving it.

Well, amazon.co.uk lists as being oct 1 , with a sept 22 release for the US. But, as pc games go, that is what's currently listed subject to change of course. It's ok, I can wait patiently, as I own the previous two games in the total war trilogy I just play those until it comes out. And, after looking at this demo for a little bit, they are truly improving this series as they go along. I'm just loving it.

Thanks. Yes what promises to be the biggest and possibly best change is the campaign map as there are no absolute borders anymore and it should to be even more tactical. Add to the fact the new visuals and units i am sure it will be something special.
@ Madgaz - The demo is short i agree but demos for RTS's are always a bit lacking I think as you can never get your teeth into them unlike FPS demos.

As always with the Total War games, the real meat of it lies in Campaign mode, and they are hardly going to throw that into the demo. I think the Demo is great, and those Elephants really do wtfpwn, even if they get attacked and become broken and run amok, they cause even more wtfpwnage, you just have to kill them before they get to close to your own troops lol.
Anyone seen amok'ing elephants regroup yet? I let them run around for 15 minutes and they were still going crazypaving in the middle of a forest somewhere.

i love it.
have you tryed the different mods ?
i have played as gaul in tutorial battle. As gual in tribia battle vs Chartigans, Rome vs Chartigans.
And some other mod where you get like 50 elephants hehe and alot of more new units, cinda overkill :)
and also gaul vs rome :)

It's really good, but short and wayyy 2 easy on normal, i hoped it would be harder. U have the 2 advantages of the hidden cavalry and a slightyly uphill position but they really really outnumber u.
Personally i saw the elephants and, giggling moronically, charged them stupidly directly into the front line, they killed a few poor roman wenches but were of course routed, trampling my skirmishers on their way back, leaving me just smiling with a vacant 'wow,,,' look on my face,,
Anyways after that i won rather decisively, killing all the romans bar about 20 who escaped my ruthless slaughter, but it left me feeling dissapointed that it wasnt harder. Gonna try it on hard now if i can :)

It is easy becuse the romans are very scripted to run away in fear easy hehe
if you try the different mods you can finde mutch more challenging battles :)

It is easy becuse the romans are very scripted to run away in fear easy hehe
