So I was resting my head under a table somewhere in a bar with a strange
smelling floor, when a voice came from above like a God speaking to me,
and here's what she said:
Wouldn't it be good to do a proper Caravanserai again, like where actual
caravans from different tribes came together?
Well I had some visions next of how things used to be.
I was seeing open tents with teas offered from most powerful herbs,
marriages being arranged admittedly sometimes behind a couch. Artifacts
would pass ownership legally and slightly less so, and hands shook sealing
deals for decades in the future or even after the fact.
All this framed by the odd mug sailing a ponderous trajectory.
So this is really the proper Thukker way to do things. I don't draft
lengthy legal documents in four languages. And I don't nail any
declarations from God to any doors, and I especially don't vote on who's
going to be on the vote counting committee for next time.
I sit down with exotic dancers, we have a good drink, we wagger on odd
things, we flogg exciting morsels, we dance and shout and scream and sing
and murder the midnight hour like even a Brutor would consider proper.
And last we agree where next to have a little tea party.
However, I must have been distracted by some fancy fumes or something
and totally missed that last part on the last caravanserai, so I guess
it's up to me then to send out an invite.
For a start I don't want to scare anyone more than necessary, so I'll go
as close to the Thukker homeland as I can without actually leaving
high sec. We can do M-M and Futzchag next time.
It happens so I have a modest little hangar in
Teonusude III - Moon 6 - Trust Partners Trading Post and would find
myself very honored to host a Caravanserai there Tuesday, April 14th 111,
any time after 20:00 unless anyone manages to pass out even before that.
No matter if don't have a caravan either. Just bring whatever you would
like to haggle over.

I may come over and see how things are done. It's not like sleep comes regularly any more, so 20:00 would be fine.

Oh! And i wanna introduce you to this thing i found called 'Burn'.Supposed to be like standing behind a Jaguar's engines whilst it activates it's afterburners..Your gonna love it!

You've got it all wrong. I'd rather do a repeat provided I'm sober enough in only one week. Honored you're asking tho: that was touching especially considering you're a Fist - it's you guys I moved to Istodard for a long long time ago in the first place.
Anyway, I'm still working on some of the arrangements. The band manager's insisting on a battleship class power feed and the station manager vows he'll rather eject his office, so I'm gonna have to shoot one of either.
Wasn't aware anyway that you could use a Tesla Coil for making music. In the interest of science and dance, as well as in memorian of a good ship or two having failed to dock in time, I'm thinking it's gonna be his Holier-Than-Can't-Yet-Dock-Hood.
Anyway, you got me distracted mate.
What I was going to put out was the word that I'm still looking for a few bits.
Like, I already got a few fancy corp shares. You got anything worth mentioning, I'll trade ya. Krazy Killer Kitties, Veto, Evolution, Snigg, Goons, CVA, TNT, mOo if I know it I'll get you a treat.
Also looking for another Khumaak. My gift one got bent the other day when a skull got into its way. Questionable Holoreels? Corpses of alliance leadership? Drinks I've never heard of? Let's do some trading by all means. I'll make ya an offer ya can't resist.
You have a lead on one of my old Golden Phoenix or Shalak'Hadar corp and tent mates? Force them to come at gun point. Vestarnum's still around I hear.
And if you can boast the longest travel from your home system to Teonusude, hell, I'm still working on more arrangements, but I think I've got a Dramiel that's waiting for its maiden flight and it might just be yours for bringing the stories of how you made it to civilized dance floor space.

This sounds very interesting.
Though it is some time ago I split with the Thukkers I still follow their nomadic ways of living, traveling around in freighter modified to be shelter for refugees and homeless as well as carrying stocks of pharmaceutical components and products that I am always willing to trade. Besides that I have a few objects of exotic origin that could be traded at the right price.
It will be a pleasure to participate.

Only, thing is: I don't really remember much after a certain point except I made a certain her promise to keep track of events. Except all I remember today is her scent and she is really gone and I was in station brig, with a guard happily informing me that he'd be all too eager to let me out only was I prepared to face the angry mob of shop owners demanding compensation wielding sharp implements?
Naturally, I opted for coffee instead.
But I bribed my way out now and boy it wasn't cheap.
Of course it's not really obligatory to trash a station on a decent Caravanserai, but that's mostly on account of generally those taking place in remote places.
We did well however, man did we well. What a hoot when the gang from Imperial Armaments sneaked in and tried to kick up a fuzz, haha. I think they're still in orbit. I wonder whether they were hired, or just drunk Brutor or Nefantar or choirboy monks or something.
Anyway, so I'm glad you enjoyed the band I hired. They're not really Starkmanir of course. It's just their stage gimmick, but a Thukker lad will know her opportunities if you know what I mean? wink Besides some of their stuff is actually based on almost lost Starkmanir tune. You danced to almost dead lyrics. That haunting number when I saw more than a head on a shoulder, man that was good. Must be post-invasion.
Of course they now want my Nightmare for all their stage shows. God whoever came up with the idea to fit 4 Energy Transfers on it to feed the Tesla coils is a genius, and hopefully in my employ and in one of my crews somewhere. I can see why you'd need a good base capacitor to do that kind of very loud musical trick.
And those lightning bolts were sure like what I fear quite a lot: Planetary weather. Long, and dangerous, and totally loud. I thought there'd be dead, smoking dancer corpses all over the station walls, only that superconducting liquid foam is completely wicked. Did you see those lads dancing embraced by raw lightning? What a show! I want to do that again.
Now, I should say the dance was quite good, but what made the evening for me was the bit of trade we did manage to pull off before things got a bit lucid. Zaq and Matariki, you should definitely meet.
Greetings must go over to the Concord Special Ops officer docked 4 berths anti-spin. Took me a Gallente Planetary Vehicle to get him to inspect some agent's files instead of our party, but that was totally worth it.
And finally: I'm now a bit at a loss. Station master's daughter did show up to "check on things" as threatened by her dad, only have you seen what she was wearing? Or rather wasn't? I sure hope she found what she was looking for in that kind of "uniform". Also gotta love a lad that shoots her own pappa's belongings the way she did when the Imperial Armaments guys got rolling, haha! That decompression alert noise still makes folks sober faster than anything else, doesn't it?
And now I find she sent me a message with her number, and wants to know where the next Caravanserai takes place, and she wants to get an invite only I was planning on visiting a Thukker Mix place next and I'm fairly sure Thukker Mix would take extreme offence if a Trust Partner's station master's daughter shot at tbeir belongings, so I'm in a bit of a fix now really, right?
Anyway, nothing's really fixed yet, but I'm fairly sure the next caravanserai may happen two weeks from the last one, on another tuesday, which would be april 29th.
Anyone got an idea where a good Thukker Mix station is?

I think you may be spending a bit too much time among the stars and bunked out in stations. I still see a lot of this 'old' activity when I visit a planet. Of course I do make a point of not hanging around in the large cities, preferring to shuttle down to a small town or cluster of villages.
Trust me, the old ways are still, if not as, then certainly nearly as, prevalent as the yused to be... and I'm not even talking about amongst Thukker settlemtnts (?surely an oxymoron?)

Now I haven't been able to draft a new date yet, and I'm still looking at Ani facilities: I'd really love to do this in space this time.
Roughly speaking, I expect to be able to complete my survey by next week, and well I would hope this to happen maybe 18th, maybe 25th - simply don't know yet especially since I'm writing this from a Neocom so ancient it probably still knows what bits are.
