The pilgrim has been for many years, the single greatest ship in Eve Online, and continues to this day to be in the top 3 for nearly every pilot to roam the seven heavens. It's sleek hull, cloaking ability, cap warfare, and swarms of bees make it quite possibley the best ship in the game for all general purposes.
Able to mount lasers, The king of all weapons, The gun that needs no bonus.. And it's ability to send a hail of drones at you whilst tanking everything you got.. And more!
It's intense combat style of get up close, bite like a spider, drain your foe of all life before then sucking it's insides out, or better yet, eating it's prey whole! Using it's own unique combat abilities to outwhit nearly all ships of all sizes ranging from the smallest frigates, to the most powerful marauders.
I put to you all, the pilots of eve.. that we post a tribute to this almightly reconnaissance cruiser.
Hail the, Almighty Pilgrim.. may the Amarr empire for ever be in your designers debt.

I've been flying the pilgrim for years.
It costs 180 mil or so for a proper fit but it needs to engage in web range - yet it doesn't have the raw dps to shoot n' scoot before the inevitable backup arrives. Once you're in a fight, you are pretty much committed unless you can neut them dry so they shut their scrams and webs off.
It's a very expensive ship and almost every fight is a gamble, even with the ability to pick your battles with the cloak.
It's a decent ship for ganking 0.0 ratters but beyond that, meh. That said, it is great fun to fly.
You sound like a used car salesman, OP.

Edit: if you DO manage to find a magical 1 vs. 1 with a turret boat, the pilgrim will win almost every time. Few ships match the pilgrim for solo, but sadly, solo isn't very viable anymore. Shame, really.
QFT. I fly the Pilgrim almost exclusively and love it, but you really do need to pick fights carefully, and recon lvl 5 is a must. Good tank, decent damage, awesome ability to cap out a cruiser in 1 cycle :)

I hereby can confirm that everyone in EvE has an alt flying a Pilgrim (the second alt accound besides the one flying a Falcon). Reason enough to whine about it and to nerf Pilgrim or the whole Amarr race.
Anyone?

I really don't see a benefit of flying a pilgrim over a curse. Sure you can warp cloaked when in a pilgrim but range bonus on your neutralizers is so much more important it's not even funny.

That's exactly it!
The almight Pilgrim has the option of wether or not to engage, the curse is not, and in large scale warfare, where the curse is most likely to be used over a pilgrim.. it gets instantly primaried!
So, the Pilgrim is still king of the skies!
Have you ever seen a group of 5 pilgrims burst out of nowhere upon a hostile group, I didn't think so, those ships are deadly, and unseen! -------------------- "this is the templar fighter used by carriers" Originaly quoted by Shania Eria.
