hi everyone
I've been playing for some days now in a regular account (after 1 or 2 trials accounts)
Ive done the tutorials and the epic arc missions
but now what??
after that i feel pretty lost. its hard to find an aggent who like me and even with i find this, I dont know if its something right to do
I would like to focus my character in questing and solo playing as i dont have much time
anyone could explain me what to do next in a logical planned way
I would like for example something like this
do quests with this corp/empire to get max faction, and you will get this and that. and which this you could get into that arc missions or something like that
hehe, dunno if Ive explained myself xDD
I hope you could help me
thxs anyway

We don't do quests in Eve, we do missions. It will be easier for you if you don't use the word "quest" on the forums. Trust me.
At this point you need to set some goals for your main character. If you want to be a mission-runner/combat pilot, then pick a large corporation in your area that specializes in combat missions. The Navies of the various factions are included of course, as well as other peripheral security related corporations, such as Ministry of Internal Order for Amarr.
If you go to the Item Database section, it will forward you to the Evelopedia, a Wiki type of information portal. Check the backstory area and take a look at the organizations in your faction, which will include corporations you may want to mission for. Large corporations have a lot of stations and agents, and give you more flexibility in agent selection as you move up the ladder to better quality and higher level agents.
Divisions that give combat missions are command, security, intelligence, internal security etc. Administration divisions give a mixture of combat and courier missions.
You may want to develop your character as a miner, or a researcher. The player guides give you information on career tracks in these areas, and suggestions on how to best go about skill training.
Set some goals. For example, you want to fly a particular ship, which will take this much Isk to buy and outfit. So you need to fly missions, loot wrecks, sell the loot, and watch your wallet balance increase. Read the skill discussion section of the forums for tips on how to organize your skill training for optimal benefit. EveMon is a separate skill training tool that most players use to organize and figure out their skill path.
If you have questions, go to Google, type in Eve and some key words. As a search engine for researching previous discussions on the forums it is far superior to the Eve website search engine.
Hope this helps, good luck and welcome to Eve.
EVERYONE SEEMS NORMAL UNTIL YOU GET TO KNOW THEM. |

You should ask people where your hearth stone is. That really gets 'em going.

I'm considering writing a pamphlet entitled, "EVE Translated." For people that come from those "other" games. The lack of a cookie cutter RPG game design and hand holding in EVE can be very exciting but also very alarming to new players. I've already outlined several sections, such as professions and terms in context. The main point is to bring them into a frame of reference based on what they do know so they can better understand what EVE really is.

there are a big world out there besides eve, you know that right?
you can call it whatever you want but a mission is a synonym of quest xDDD
sticking to the topic im still lost. yesterday i spent all the evening trying to find agents and or they didnt give me quests or they simply wasnt there (I just hate eve-agents)
I hope today will be more satisfying hehe

http://eveinfo.com/agents/1
Now pick a corp, preferably in the region you are in now. Filter for level 1 agents. Go to one of them. If it says not available, click show info on them. It will say on first tab how high of rating you need to talk to them. It will say on last tab what your rating is for the faction, corp, and the agent itself. Once you have the right rating, they will give missions. Now here's the trick to consider; The higher the quality of agent, the more rating you need. So find a low quality level 1 agent to start with.
Level 1 missions you can do easy in a frigate. Level 2 missions you can do in a frigate too, but they will have cruisers in them from time to time, as many as 5 at a time. So you have to be more prepared to handle that, or get a cruiser. Level 3 missions you need a cruiser, but even better get a battle cruiser. Level 4 missions you need a battleship, but you shouldn't rush to a battleship. Don't bother with level 5 missions for a long time.

Im getting it hehe
after training up some social skills, I can find much easily agent that offers me missions
but I have another question
why doing missions from for example University of Caille and not from Brutor tribe or Sisters of EVE???
how do i know what is a good corp to raise faction with and what isnt??
after all eve isnt an easy game to get into it hehe, los of info to process and the "lost in space" feeling doesnt help hehehe

As far as I know diff. corps give you different loot threw Loyalty points... so it all depends what you are looking for.
If your looking for kill missions, stick with the "Navy" corperations... Its best to pick a race you enjoy and stick with it. Skill training, missions, pvp ships, or whatever you are into.
If you specialize in one race first... you will be much better faster.

Train for a recon ship and anchor bubble. Then camp it and kill people.

A friend of mine pointed me here for help, can anyone enchant my pulse laser so i can do quests faster?
Do not try and find the signature... that's impossible. Instead only try to realize the truth... There is no signature. |
