There is not any legit reason for Chinese to be on our server, they have their own.
CCP doesn't care though, they only want subscribers.
So any Chinese player that has a character from before the start of the Chinese server should throw it away?
Any Chinese player that is often outside China for part of the year for work, study or vacation and that can't access the Chinese server from outside should not play EVE?

Just to **** them off, I went there and generated probably 50 or 60 random login/pw combos.
Now, as that site had no active scripts or anything, am I safe to type in my eve account info on a normal site, say here?

Edited by: Ricdics on 08/04/2009 08:38:02 From that phishing site when you click on account details it actually brings you to the proper CCP eve-online secure login site, they don't have their own login. Do they somehow use this redirect to garnish the information (even though my browser is showing;
https://secure.eve-online.com/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fAccountInfo.aspx
It's almost like they tried to make it authentic by having the links work however forgot to stop the login page redirecting back to CCP. Either that or CCP owned this domain all along and have redirects in place for people going to the wrong site.
edit: Ahh I scrolled down and saw the login section at bottom. They probably would have had more luck if it was correctly embedded into the body of the page. |
