i pay good money to play this game. its not that good at the best of times but this 1 hour DT is just plane stupid.
i dont mind the hour to sort stuff out, devs to go take a **** etc,...
but for every minuit it runs over i should it have refunded as free game time at the end of each month. or at very leasdt the isk exuivalant based on a PLEX deposited into my account.
wow dosnt have these problems. you would think with the millions of dollars ccp has hey corld help us out.

I sometimes wonder if there's a better maintenance strategy than taking the game offline for an hour, perhaps there isn't.
It's worth noting that this Fri and Mon are holidays in the UK (dunno about other places) - so I'd expect shorter dt, like on a weekend?

you have to understand that eve is constantly broken this daily 1 hour down time gives them the time they need to look for things to fix.

Hmmm im not gonna agree with op here. But he has a point.
Recently ive been hearing that CCP deactivates your account eccactly when it has ran out of time. They just give you a 10 second logoff timer at 15.26 or whenever you paid eccactly 30 days ago.
Thats ok, youre not supposed to get stuff for free. But on the other hand you are supposed to get what you pay for.

Sadly, the server is up but there is a constant flow of traffic advisories and closed currently offline systems so it looks like they may have onlined too soon, im expecting a restart

Exactly. WoW has bigger problems. Like replying to your technical support/billing emails after 4 and more months. Or extended downtime every week. Or random downtimes for 2-3 weeks after a major patch deployment.
Next time try to have experience regarding the things you post. -9/1

I spent 6 nights in nullsec in a punisher and didn't see a single person.. system after system... then it was downtime (tf2), another hour or two, bed.

WoW has down time every tuesday for at least 8 hours and reboots their server threw rolling restarts another 4 days or more weekly. It is too bad you don't know what your talking about when you post.
All MMO's have down time, thats just how they are. Perhaps this is your first MMO...if you choose to play an MMO, expect them to have Down Time.

I hate to say it but you cant refund time. I mean god or whatever supreme entity out there has yet to refund time too I doubt theyll start a policy change and start refunding lost time.
Meanwhile do something productive like learn a new insturment or learn a new language or something or improve your sucky art skills like I have.

It's about 2 cents per minute to play EVE, about 50 cents per day. Try to put it in perspective, it is just a game, and cheap entertainment at that. Sometimes it's just better to accept that stuff happens.

So I am curious, will you pay extra for every minute the down time is less than an hour?
