Barl Rathbone	Posted - 2004.08.26 07:08:00 - [1] Hey all, Im looking to get into Fountain andam looking for a friendly established corp. MUST be in FA. Corp must allow members to do 'their own thing' as much as possible, although I will of course be joining in with corp activities as well. If you think you can offer me something evemail me.

I like the area and like the guys Ive talked to and want to hang out down there more. (Plus I want to steal their BPO's. (joke)) Like I said above, I am not interested in a corp that wants me to sit camping some gate 23/7. I will be wanting to do my own thing alot, but will get involved in corp/alliance events as well. Basically one of our non-active members went exploring in fountain, got attacked, shot back and that was it. He then hung around Fountain for a day or two, but never attacked anyone, just NPC hunting. Only one member was involved and he was subsequently asked to leave WD. (The rest of us are honourable and trustworthy!) The story we heard later was he was ganking loads of FA people, which certainly wasnt the case, but thats chinese whispers for you :) Western Digital are in effect dead in the water with only 2 active members these days. Been playing since 1.6.03 and hunting in Fountain has revived my interest again. My corp mate digitallifeform will also be interested, again he is a long time player looking for a new challenge.

He was told about the pass system and asked to leave as he did not have one at which point he said "**** off" to put it bluntly. He then STARTED attacking people first mainly my vigil. At which point he was put on KOS and hunted. Just so you know for future reference.

Yep thats almost as I heard it :) You asked him to leave as expected, he ignored it and unsurprisingly you all went after him and he destroyed your ship in self defence. I'm not justifying his actions as he was in your space and didnt follow the rules but he isnt one to attack unprovoked. We were annoyed as he actually wasnt part of the corp at that point and was solo/freelancing, but just hadnt physically left. He should have known if he wanted to start annoying large alliances to at least leave first ! After we came down and paid to hunt legitimitally we found out what had happened and immediately asked him to leave. His actions werent done on behalf of WD and are certainly not an example of our policy. None the less you have our apologies as it has muddied our normally spotless reputation.
