I would love pod kills to include implant info.
Killboards being ISK based, needs this info ;0
Also, be great to get a little eve-mail telling you when the guy you just podded had no medical insurance, so lost X amount of skill points ... BOOM HEAD SHOT!

You have just highlighted my biggest annoyance with EvE.
Killboards.
Take out the counterstrike scoreboards. Give us back fighting for the sake of fighting, not to stroke ourselves.

Hmm not sure if the sarcasm about [bold]kill[/bold]boards being about ISK was clear, but I hear what you are saying and sadly, EVE lacks a central location to get an idea of one's accomplishments.
Was a good try with FW and decorations mind you

Yeah, I hadn't noticed sarcasm at all, hahahah ...
That said, I think accomplishments are handled just fine. It's more realistic: you're known to people for what you do. Chribba is known for veld and dreadnoughts. The only reason I know of 'MoO' is because of hearing about their raid on CONCORD. I'm known to a select few players for teaching basic skills classes or taking 20-some-odd t1 frigates with junk gear, all the participants under 2mil sp, against a group of merc BS's.
Accomplishments are taken care of, by word of mouth. Now, if your talking STATISTICS, like some fantasy football batting average or some golphers putting score? I personally don't give a crap about those. Statistics have never been fun for me, anyhow.

I'm at work right now so I can't look it up, but if someone could look up the bio of 'dragonrider000' and post it here... Well, that is what really irks me about Eve. It's also a funny-as-hell read.
Also high on the list: Contract scam spamming, cramped UI, tiny font, isk sellers, cryptic item attributes (especially for the newbies), and being unable to create auctions on behalf of your corporation unless the item is in a corp hangar or delivery bay.

This would be a "game-breaker"... Would basically just make EVE a space version of WoW. EVE is a PvP game. If you don't like that, WoW is --> that way.
Originally by: Kijyat No difference in the races. Anyone can learn any skill and fly any ship into any system.
Freedom. What makes EVE great. You can do whatever you want. I would also consider changing this to be a "game-breaker", although perhaps a little less so than the former quote.
Originally by: Kijyat Only able to have 1 character in training. Why have other character slots? Its not smart to stop training your main character. As above you can spend 30 days training to use the starting "fighting style" of another race and be successful with it.
There is a good reason for this. See the forums. Plenty of discussion on this already.
Originally by: Kijyat No anti-ECM/jamming items. Sure you can raise your initial strength to make it tougher but nothing that interrupts the idiots (that I found) from keeping you as a sitting duck unable to fight back.
Agreed. I oppose any effect that takes all control away from the player.
Originally by: Kijyat Not being able to re-distribute skill points (like attributes) once a year.
That makes no sense. It would basically make the skill training system pointless. They could just as well implement the WoW leveling and speccing system, which sucks. Another "game-breaker".
All in all, it sounds like your complain is: "EVE is not a space version of WoW/EQ".
Sounds like you play alot of WoW and EQ. I never played them but it seems you know an awful alot about them.
Get real, none of these are "omg!! game breakers". I'm tired of being ganked by idiots in high sec space. In just about every rpg there are plusses and minuses for being a certain race. Here there is no difference. I read some of the threads about the spammers/chinese farmers and such. So what? If I have the ability to play three different toons, then let me play them to the fullest or just have 1 player slot. If EVE allows for adjustment of attributes (which is very very stupid) then take the next step and let us move skillpoints as well. All in all it sounds like you are some paid EVE mouthpiece

Good luck getting any of those changed. And by "good luck" I mean "added to my address book for when I feel like burning off some sec". Grats on picking 6 things that would completely ruin the game.

Edited by: Shajeil on 15/04/2009 12:15:23 Whats in your opinion the most annoying part you can experience on New Eden???
Each Player being allowed more than one Character and allowed more than one Account.
*IF* each Player was allowed only one account with only one character for life then FW would really mean something, Corp Wars would mean something, Standings would mean something...but they don't imho.
A player that is a snivelling carebear one minute can log out and be a Pierat the next, then log out again and play the market to screw everyone else....plus many other possibilities too numerous to mention.
I wish EVE was a game where you had to make a choice that really meant something...you want to be a Pierat feared by all? then you are always a Pierat until you change your ways. Want to be a carebear Miner (like me), then you are a Carebear and EVERYONE knows it. Want to be a Spy? Then you are a spy and REALLY have to live with the consequences.
Yes, I know, the three character per account, and unlimited accounts per Player will never change. It also means that no matter how good or bad you are as a Player, it will never really matter, nor does all the Peace treaties and War Decs, Faction Warfare is pointless becuase each Player can potentially be a member of three Empires, etc.
I wish CCP would create a new Server and make it so you are restricted to one character/one account. I would then go to that server and subscribe for life.

Here are some that come to my mind:
- The spam on Jita and other hubs. (there's enough lag already, stop trying to sell ****) - Losing billions "for the lulz" of someone else (pod kill, what ya get with it?) - Killing ECM elite frigates (HELLS stop jamming me!!!)
- ISK seller spam in public and local chat - CCP ignoring this problem - bumping - retared warmechanics (there are no victory conditions) - 0.01 isk order changes - the nerfd bio of all toons (retarted small nr of max characters) |

Speak for yourself. They wouldn't ruin the game for YOU. Because you've made it abundantly clear, you don't want to really play this game. Your just playing it now cause it has spaceships and probably a few friends. The rest of the things that make EvE what it is, you've admitted to not caring about.
But to many of US, the things you want to change are exactly the reason why we are here. These are why I am here, and each play an important role.
So, who's more important: the gamer who likes the game as it is, or the gamer who wants to completely change it until the only thing it resembles from the almost six-year-old piece of art that it was is the fact that it's still got space ships and turrets.
Of course, you might then argue that 'But if only EvE was more pussified, we'd have more players!' Which, of course, is a horrible assumption FULL of flaws, not the least of which the truth that EvE's playerbase has continually pushed server limitations and technology already, or the fact that EvE doesn't have the PvE focus to attract and KEEP those gamers who would only be subsequently pulled to other sci-fi MMO's present or in design, such as SWG, SW:TOR, JGE, Blackrise, etc, et.
So, here's a simple suggestion: It might be better for you and your enjoyment, if you went out and found a game that's more suited for your tastes. Maybe Homeworld servers, that kind of thing. A game that doesn't allow other players to be mean to you. A game where you can pretend to associate with other players, but otherwise spend the majority of your time playing with yourself.
A game that doesn't have the be terraformed and stripped of everything that makes it unique, just so you can have fun with it for three months before you drift back to 'that other MMO'.
