Any one who wants my 3 mill isk and 5 ships email me as I can no longer log in or do anything...game crashed and have tried re installing but will not apply patches. Have spent 12 hours trying to fix and have got no help anywhere. In 24 hours I will cancel my subscription and equipt will be lost. If any DEV's read this, you all suck. I have seen tons of people posting with same problems and no one cares to help fix. Game crashed, would not reconnect, tried uninstall and reinstall, now patches will not auto or manual download, isnt my comp I played for two weeks just fine, I cannot log or play and therefor willnot pay. Oh and by the way, will never play any future games from you guys either, If ya dont care any more for your patrons than this your not worthy.

One of the patch servers went down, that is the reason for you not being able to patch.
As for your not being able to login, then if you send a log (.lbw) to [email protected] I would be able to see what the problem.
If not, then thank you and please come again.

Seriously, Fhantasia, if your network connection goes down, what do you do re-install your whole operating system? Get real man.

Sounds like a stuck character.
Pilot fly's into a troubled system, game crashes, pilot unable to log back in.
Can you logon with a different character? If so, file a STUCK petition with the other character so that the GM's can move you.

Ok some of you seem to miss understand. I waited patiently and tried everything I could think of first. No I cant log in with a different character as the game never gets that far. As soon as you click on the shortcut nothing but stars, no options to choose from. So then I tried reinstalling game. Now when the patch is finished downloading to comp it will not itstall. Therefor It is not compatible with servers and I cannot log on, so to those of you wondering if I just redownload everthing bite me I tried other stuff first and it didnt work. In every other MMOG I have played when all else fails you can uninstall and reinstall and at least get it going again- As opposed to Eve where now I cant get patch applied so I can restart. And its not just me or there wouldnt be multiple posts from people with the same prob. I am glad some of you have experienced no problems, but many of us are. I have spent what is my entire weekend just trying to get this going again, with no luck. I sit through the hours of patch download to see it ask for a file path, and nothing within the eve folder is a valid path. I shouldnt have to be a DEV or GM to be able to figure out how to get the game to work, if so its a **** poor design. Sorry if some of you just think I am a retarded non-comp geek but I have played numerous other MMOG's with their share of problems but nothing like this. |

Well I had the same prob....Patch would fail to verify or would error out with the message "Check sum error"
The black screen with stars is a failed patch prob only part of it went through. You will have to re-install to fix that. The other issue is the ICELAND server which is the default I believe has a bad patch file. So wont work for anyone. I ended up manually downloading the patch from the UK server <see Eve-online patch page> it worked just fine and wam bam I was back in. Believe me I tried 8 times before I thought of trying each patch server individually. hope this helps.

Had the same problem ,but EVE dude + (downloadable from EVE-I.com) fixed this problem.
If youre behind a proxy or cannot download it through regular patching EVE dude + will fix your problem,since you can patch directly through the program or add a proxy as well.

I had the same issue. Clearing my cache solved it for me. If you don't know how to do that, you can undoubtedly find information on it on this site, or the EVE-dude program the gentleman before me mentioned can do it for you. |
