Well, it didnt take me very long to notice that there were quite a bunch of Homeworld fans here on the EVE boards and that play EVE in general
So i figured, how bout we beat our prize winning dead horse till it gets up and is undead enough for us to have fun with it.
As some of you may know Relic has shutdown the WON servers for Homeworld but I thought that we could set up a EVE Homeworld community network via Hamachi
hehe maybe ill break out MissionMan again and see if i cant re-learn it to make a Delve or Period Basis map
what do you guys think?

I would be Down for playing HW 2 with other Eve fans, Just wish the Eve Mod for HW2 was done.

Totally down for it. I just beat Homeworld 1 like a week ago. I only ever played Homeworld 2 online though. I was BulbasaurPSA if anyone knows me. That community was pretty small for a while. You might also know my friends ArmaggedonPSA and ChaosCowPSA. Both are from HW2.

lol i was just about to suggest my thread to u and your corp in ur "CEO take over thread" 
ya i dont know hardly any one from the HW2 community cause when i got there it was already dead...i remember the HW rooms being quite full some days tho :P
ahh...back when i learned what hf gl and gg meant :P
also the importance of the rush XD

that actually sounds good...
Problem is, i am running a no-cd exe because i lost my disk :x
I think everyone would have to have the same one to play... dunno.
needs an ingame channel tbh.

hopefully not...tho i think ive seen it be a problem on HW2
if that is the case we could always distribute a .iso...mount a virtual drive or have everyone use the no-cd :P

I've played HW2 off and on even after it died, which was pretty quickly. Relic didn't put much time or money into HW2 as they did HW cause they were working on some other project i think. HW2 still is a solid game, though as only one patch was released, it still has it's bugs. As for my corpmates, I don't know if any of them have played HW. Most of the old members have left either the corp or EVE. We still have a couple though. One is actually very active with the Relic forums.

i edited in the first HW server with its pass
since were using the non commercial version we get 16 ppl to one server but we can make 256 of them so well see what we can do for more than 16 ppl

Hamachi is basically a different type of network...
The networks you can relate to are probably your local area network (lan), and the internet.
Now, what Hamachi does is it sets up another network. This Hamachi network works very similarly to a lan network, making it really easy to get stuff to work.

And I have zero experence running hw1 multiplayer, so once you get that far you let someone else walk you through it

because we are on a network we dont need to login to WON so just goto LAN :P
