I don't think it Aeryn's fault either. Everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing by now. I wasn't there so I don't have details of the fight but I imagine CA used their frigs to scramble everyone right away and then just started picking people off at their leasure, possibly occaisionally using jammers to break locks.

Aeryn cannot be blamed for everything, CA did a good job aswell. We were scattered in a radius of about 100km and they took full advantage of it. Battles are won and battles are lost but i will join Aeryn in the next battles for sure

As the Fleet Commander of the opposing forces I commend you on accepting the responsibility for the defeat. However you know as well as I that sometimes the men are unusually unruly or not focused and that cannot be completely laid at the feet of the commander. You know your fleets state of mind today better then I. Of course it is a commanders duty to assess that state of mind and take that into account when deciding to strike or not. I have known you to be a competent and dangerous commander, cya on the battlefield.

Good stuff guys.
A very large scale battle and a respectable defeat of coalition forces by CA. ATUK took 2 battleship losses but our resolve remains strong.
I admire Aeryn's honesty and integrity in accepting responsibility here but have to say that it was not all her fault. There was much confusion as the lag played a major role, and our confidence got the better of us after the initial hammering we gave CA, meaning our forces were not at a full state of battle-preparedness for the second wave. If this was the CA plan, then well done - it worked. This time.
On a personal note, I would like to pay tribute to Jimmysav, Luther and Shakaz who all laid a sacrifice at the altar of freedom in the name of ATUK.
I look forward to the next installment....

Are you referring to the engagement in osht as the "hammering we gave CA"? Because if you are, you are sadly mistaken. That part of the fighting i do believe was an even 2:2 or 3:2 our favor. I think it was Tehel Necrona that also killed a tempest in u-q while this fighting in osht was occuring so if you factor that in it is 3:2 or 4:2. Now, as you people had more battleships than us we sat off the gate, when you jumped in we got 2 cruisers and managed to scramble a scorpion before you all warped out for a more favorable position. After that is where we got the majority of our kills.
I am sorry CA and SA for me having to post kills and everything in this thread, it was quite nice and well mannered until Lardarz posted. Again i would like to re-iterate that it was a great fight and little to no smack from both sides.
