As usual CCP thought of something, they rushed to implement it and now when all the signals from Sisi come that it's a bad ideea, they will choose to ignore those signals 'cos they spent too much development costs on it and they can't simply postpone it till they get it right.
Lockdown after flipping system, LP pool that can vanish via pve, mixing pvp with pve, it's a freaking salad now and it can lead nowhere good. Seriously, having to PVE constantly just to dock ? Who's freaking bright ideea was that ?
Also inb4 Hans politics us all with "it's gonna be iterated on (new CCP favourite word), and it's gonna be adjusted in next patches, etc" .
Before it's iterated on, it's gonna be iterated for 20 plexers and everyone else will be outta FW. Just sayin'
Madbuster's ideea makes too much sense , it's gonna be completely ignored, but for my part +1 |

Wouldnt it be more useful to upgrade systems like this:
Level 1: Enemy cant use Agents in Station Level 2: Enemy cant use Services in Station Level 3: Enemy cant dock in Stations Level 4: 25% Reduction in Marketorders, Contracts, Jumpclones, Repaircosts in station. Level 5: Sov holder can Use Cynojammers on their POS
So that means people have a chance to get in their ships by plexing a system down a bit and arent fully locked out when sov changes. I think this will encourage pvp more then people having locked out permanently and they wont bother coming to that system.
Edit: I moved the 25% reduction from level 1 to level 4 because that way the opposing militia cant make use of reduced costs because they cant dock. (makes much more sense) |

So, is it maybe possible if one of the DEV's reply here and maybe tell if they are considering changing the System Upgrades??? because as it is now the upgrades are completely useless. and not 1 single person will donate LP in the Pool to get 50% clone reduction. I mean I loose 1 clone per year so thats gonna save me a stunning 10 million.... No way anybody will give 150.000 LP for that....

Madbuster may just be a mad genius. Very good idea that CCP should pay attention too. I think that if they refuse to listen to what has been said here, it will just show how little they care about outside opinions. |

Madbuster73 wrote:The LP system as it is now on SiSi is really bad. The LP store prices are dependent on the sum of systems occupied + upgraded levels. For Example: you have 101 systems in Caldari/Gallente. Each system can be upgraded to level 5. so 101 + 101 x 5 = 606 total.
To have normal prices like they are now, people will have to have about 55 systems all upgraded to level 5.. (In other words you need 303 points of max 606 available.) that will make the prices "Average" as it shows on Sisi.
The problem is to upgrade a system you need to Donate 150.000 LP in the Infrastructure Hub. x 55 = 8.250.000 LP !!!!! Who does CCP think is gonna put so much LP in all these systems, just to be able to have normal prices like we have now?? No one in their right mind is gonna give away so many LP with the chance of loosing all those LP overnight because the opposing side can just run some compounds in a system and take your Pool of LP away......
FW needs a pvp boost, not taking their isk away by making prices this high and at cost of insane LP donations.
My idea is to balance it a bit more, like if you have 50% of the systems, give normal prices, but if you upgrade ALL those systems to level 5 you get like 20-25% discount on top of that. That will be more reasonable and worth the Isk donations.
I agree with the pricing, if you hold half the systems you should have the "standard" prices that we have now. If you start to win/lose you should feel it but not become overwhelming in either direction.
