Edited by: Magellan on 27/08/2004 10:36:37 I have tried reading the missionĘs forums but i can find no post to answer this question.
I started working with a lvl 1 agent the other night and his a right royal pain . He keeps sending me on 20+ jump round trips on nearly ever mission . Now i know that location is the key for most agents and it seems that i choose a real dozy. I have heard that there are some agents that will only send you on 10jump round trips and stuff. Would it be possible for someone to enlighten me as to what agents these are as it would save me some time on the long, long road i have in front of me already to increase my rating to be able to use the better ones.
If possible I would like this information for lvl 1, lvl 2 and lvl 3's
Many thanks

Working for lvl 1 agents = wrong.
Train Connections to lvl 3 and start working for a low quality lvl 2 agent of your choice right away. The corporation's agent list will show you the agents you can work for. The map is your friend.
Or your foe: The 20-jump runs might very well be your fault - check your autopilot settings and choose the shorter route, ignoring pod kill zones.

will be training connections soon, but i thought i would start off with the lower agents as the small boost they gave me i thought would not hurt.
hehe, don't get me worng i am no Noob to eve but i am to these agents. My auto pilot and items are all fine its just a pain. its a nightmare agent that seems to send me off into 3-4 diffrent regions to complete missions so i guess that side of it is my fault.
Oh well i will train connection to lvl 3 and come back to you.
thx

train negotiations as well......gives you more money for the missions you do run.
running missions with any agent never "hurts"
you'll be relocating a good bit till you have access to lvl 3. once you get access to the best lvl 3 agents, you will most likely head to that system and run with that agent for quite some time.
you need a faction standing of 4.85 or higher to run the best lvl 3's, safe to assume that will be upwards 6.00 for lvl 4 agents and probably over 8.00 for lvl 5's
as your standing increases you'll have access to better agents. run with the best agent you can find in the highest lvl you can for a week or so and then relocate to the next "best agent" you can use.
in most cases I find lower quality agents tend to send you on them longer missions but not ALWAYS.
my latest is a lvl 3 quality 19 and a standing with me over 9.00, he sends me on average 4 to 10 jumps round trip for kill missions but he has me on this same route that has many missions about 14 to 16 round trip and one courier mission that sends me about 27 jumps round trip and no i can't buy the goods elsewhere and make it shorter
I have another lvl 3 quality 14 and a standing with me of only 6.60......he sends me 6 jumps round trip mission for most and the long courier missions he sends me on are only 12 jumps round trip.
the only way to find them is to try them. quaility helps with money and so does system security. less secure more reward.
ultimately: just run with said agent for a week and you will see what he/she is likely to do. some agents do keep you in close proximaty to your base system and some send you circling about the entire region.
as far as i can tell. every agent is slightly different for all characters, the results I get from running with said agent might be very different from your results with same said agent.
