Well to put it mildly, they're knackered.
Can it be changed back to the old system, whereby you just had to be in the gang to get the bonus? As it stands now, its entirely random as to whether or not you get the speed and shield bonus. I've been in a system with gang members for 30minutes and either some of them have never received the bonus, or more often than not, I've not received the bonus.
Its getting pretty annoying, especially as i've trained all the leadership skills to level 5.

you need to be in the same grid as your gangmates for it to apply as far as i understand it, not just the same system

Its been entirely random, I've been the other side of a system and had the bonus. I have also been orbitting a gang mate for 10 minutes and it hasn't applied to either of us.

Exactly, I'd much rather it get put back to the straight 'if your in the gang you get the bonus' version. If thats going to be too overpowering then limit the max size of gnags based on the leadership skill.

i think everyone in gang gets bonus is overpowered tbh, cause ppl can gang others they have nothing to do with and get improved stats. The system does need to be simplified tho, i think it should just be ppl in same system get the bonus, this way the server has less work to do and wont randomly disconnect me as much |
