ZOMG, falcon/rook are pretty much winsauce now.
30 % per level, more weapons, drone bays.
It's a wonderful compromise, bring them closer to the combat but make them more effective.
The problem was never the strength, the problem was the ships sitting at 200+ km doing their job.
Now you miss a jam you could die, but the jamming is stronger too!
lol, <100 km is gonna be loads of fun.
Rook as a solo boat now anyone? Stop, hammer time. |

Won't this make things more exciting for Falcon pilots? I honestly still get a pretty good rush when I PVP, because I know damn well that there's a damn good chance I'm about to loose xxx million ISK, and simply 'cuz it's fun!
So if I were the Falcon pilot who used to sit at 200km+ from my target(s) and jam them into oblivion, without really having to fear much, and now I have to come within maybe 100km where my chances of dying are a lot greater, I would think that would make things quite a bit more exciting!

Its still going to take cruisers around 40 seconds to turn, engage speed, and put damage on you. The situation hasn't changed. If you mean .01 is greater than .001 then yeah you have a better chance of dying.

I think I understand what you meant there..
If you're saying they still have a lot of range, providing them some measure of safety, then OK. I'm just saying, 100km-150km takes a lot less time to traverse then 200km-250km. Not to mention it's a lot easier to get 100km-ish range out of weapons than it is 200km-ish, so the Falcons won't be quite as untouchable any more. Therefore, more excitement for Falcon pilot, no?

I can't believe they are really doing it to be honest. They nerfed the arazu to oblivion, now are boosting the falcon even more. And yeah, that is actually a boost.

Weeell… at least they'll be within standard SD range now, so less travelling needed. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

/me waves to the falcon pilots (myself included).
Enjoy your new falcon: Essentially a kitsune with a CovOps cloak.
For anything outside of small engagements, you're going to be relegated to the scrap bin.

Why, did their targetting range get nerfed?

No, but with a bit of luck, the more daft segment of the flock will think "onoz! no range bonus! I'll dump the standard-issue sensor booster!"… omnomnom.

Quote: - Arazu : 5% bonus to Remote Sensor Dampener effectiveness per level - Pilgrim : 20% bonus to Energy Vampire and Energy Neutralizer transfer amount - Falcon : 30% bonus to ECM Target Jammer strength - Rapier : 60% bonus to stasis webifier range
Perhaps, someone can rename the gallente recon to 'Arazuseless' (i'm the only one to see this ridiculous bonus at 5%??)

You're conflating primary & secondary EW. Arazu does get a 20% bonus equivalent to the pilgrim...

Yes, let's compare them:
Secondary EWar: - Arazu: 5% bonus to Sensor Dampener effectiveness per cruiser level, ie. fixed 25%. - Falcon: 10% reduction in ECM Target Jammer capacitor per cruiser level, ie. fixed 50%. - Pilgrim: 5% bonus to Tracking Disruptor effectiveness per cruiser level, ie fixed 25%. - Rapier: 7.5% bonus to target painter effectiveness per cruiser level, ie. fixed 37.5%.
Primary EWar: - Arazu: 20% bonus to warp disruptor range per Recon level. - Falcon: 30% bonus to ECM Target Jammer strength per Recon level. - Pilgrim: 20% bonus to Nos and Neut transfer amount per Recon level. - Rapier: 60% bonus to stasis webifier range per recon level.
So sure… buff the Arazu and Pilgrim based on percentages alone… ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |
