So, I stopped playing about an hour before DT.
I went and bought a 22" LCD TV with Freeview, CI slot, iPod docking station and is PC compatable. I also bought a 15pin female/female pc/monitor adaptor, 2 way TV arial splitter and 3 metres of coaxial 5 cable. I then added pc to new LCD tv, split the tv arial cable, ran a new section to the new tv, auto installed tv channels (just the free 80 or so), turned on pc and found that just by pressing 1 button on the remote I can happily switch from TV to PC with no delay. I then added my new wireless card to the pc, added it to my router settings and it all worked fine, first time. And all of this is for my 3rd computer that sits in my bedroom and is mostly used by my 4yr old to play Seseme St. games or Dora games.
All in all a very productive day, lets hope i get many more like it

The same thing I always do every early morning on a weekday, sit at my desk at work watching the forums like a ninja. Occasionally I have to get up and walk in a 30C 80 Humidity chamber and make sure my test is still doing what it is supposed to do.
I love the fact that DT's and patches happen while I sleep/work.

1. Had a nap. 2. Watch a couple of episodes of Gargoyles (yes, the 15 year old cartoons) 3. Read this hillarious story somebody sent me while the patch downloaded

Read SQL code to try and learn it a bit.
Ran a few SAS programs.
Created a map with corresponding data in Ixpress.
Had a nice long email conversation with a cute married co-worker about trance music.
Wife texted me about a female dog of co-manager she has to work with.
And got a check from my contracting company for a penny.

Bought a couple of Sapphire Radeon 3850's so my old AGP systems don't lag so badly ... got a couple of copies of XP as well ... the new cards not supporting Win2k ... got six or seven years out of that os ... not bad ... Thought about going to Vista but I don't know if Vista will support some of the old hardware in those boxes, whereas I know XP will.
Maybe I'll actually be able to run two clients in windows on those systems now instead of alt-tabbing.
Anyway ... one of them was getting GPU errors any time it tried to run EVE after Apocrypha. It had been getting them now and again before hand but once the Classic Client went away - that system crashed every single time. Anyway ... that card was going.
Another victim of Interval Immediate?
*shrug*
Maybe ...

I don't actually play eve anymore, so wasn't aware there was a patch. Been replaying Civilization 3 a lot lately. Hate how they really ramped up the corruption from 2. In before Ralara. |

I plotted how to kill my master and break the Geas without getting killed in the process. I came up with a really good plan how to do it but it all depends on my DM to allow me to enact it or not, he's a sneaky, evil bugger.

Well, I was learning for my exams in the time, but it only took around 1h to download it, so it wasn't that bad. ------------------------
