Same for Exhale of course, they got info about TL having no strategic goal in that system at that time, so they got their asses there to also have no strategic goal, except kicking the sh*t out of us. |

Basicly this, both of us were bored waiting for a respawn of our homesystems sleeper sites and got the intel that the specific C2 had tons of sites to farm.... everything else is history.

I wonder what the outcome would've been if Transmission Lost & Co. had brought through their full T3 force before attempting to bring in their BS.
It was hard to tell from the video, but it looked to me like Exhale. could've held the field without Starbridge backup.
Either way, awesome fight and nice BR / vid! |

Battle Report Here (4UHI vs S I L E N T)
So, we're baiting a fleet in a C5 with an Onyx and some combat probes, with a Thanatos already in their system (cloaked). We get a low-sec K162 into our WH and stick a scout or 2 on it.
Scanship jumps through from low and scans, we have a scout on each side. I call for everyone to hop into scanships etc. and wait by their SMA (looking real friendly). Not long before their scanner finds our Onyx and decides to bring some guys for a kill.
Scout reports 2 Drakes, Onyx and 2 Scimitars en-route to our Onyx. I leave the Onyx there as there is no chance the 2 drakes and Onyx will break his tank easily in our pulsar. Luckily our POS is off d-scan from all of this. A support fleet is established and alligned. I send just a couple of canes too stoke the fire.
Several gatefires later, a more sizable fleet is incoming with added logi support (3 x scimi, 2 x basi) As they are en-route, I send everyone else and bring the triage carrier back through (much to the surprise of SILENT) Due to the sheer damage output of the hostile fleet, I switched one of our pilots for another carrier.
The battle-report doesn't quite show the difference in numbers as it was about 10 v 24 but some 1/2 of them made it out (we didn't have enough points :P) and some didn't get on a killmail. Scorp jams and neuting canes on the logi broke the chain for long enough for us to put them down before the scorp died himself.
Unfortunately for SILENT, one of their members felt it was very unfair of us to use the capitals in a 10 vs 24 fight, even though their intention was a gank. We however, love such sentiment. GÖÑ Welcome to EVE online, here's your rubix cube, go F*** yourself GÖÑ |

Had a fun three way fight over the weekend.
We'd spotted a fleet of five drakes working their C2 static, and we'd spent a fair while getting into position and working out what to do. Then the statics own residents came only and upon D-scan popped up a Tengu. At which point we decide to hold out for that instead, thinking it'd make a much juicer kill. The tengu engages the Drake fleet, so we jump our small fleet through the hole and head into the skirmish with missiles volleying back and forth. It seems we accidentally warped in a little further from the Tengu then intended and made a burn for it, ignoring the Drakes. Unfortunately it turned out to be one of those 100MN afterburner tengues, and even with webs it managed to coast outside of warp scram range, doing a runner before we could bring anything else to bare onto him. At this point the other Drake fleet had decided not to stick around, and had started bouncing between sites, and eventually sodding off to their own WH.
We didn't ge the kill, but we got some grins and probably made the Tengu pilot change his pants. But to be honest the good natured talk over local was worth it. Turned out the Tengu pilot thought we were reinforcements for the Drakes. |

You had already failed on the tengu, even if you would of caught up to him he would of been gone even with a regular prop mod. It seems to me the only grins to be had were by the tengu pilot who sucked you off the drakes. I bet he got a good laugh and it sounds to me like the tengu pilot had no reason to change his pants.
The Tengu sucked you into a trap, pull them away and then murder them. If the other fleet wasn't sitting there he probabably would of picked you off one by one.

I'm going to facepalm. Then I'm going to bow down to your epic conspiracy that the drake fleet from another hole was the bait for a separate corp and hole. Not to mention that we'd followed the progress of the drake fleet from one into another. We'd gotten corps, names and alliances, and ever decent piece of info to hand, beyond knocking on their POS door and saying "Hello, we play to be engaging you in the next 30 minutes. Would you be so kind as to give us your load outs so we can tailor our ships to optimal DPS and hardeners?".
The tengu knew nothing about us, nor did the drake fleet. Afterwards the Tengu pilot mentioned he thought we had been reinforcements for the Drake fleet.
And no, we didn't point anything other than the Tengu, due to the Tengu being worth more than the Drake fleet combined. We concentrated on that, but never got enough scrams on it to stop it coasting with it's 100mn MWD. By that point it was just us, one Drake who was most likely warp scrammed by the Tengu, and the Tengu itself.
In hindsight we should have gone for the Drakes, but hindsight is a wonderful thing in being able to tell you what you should have done, once you know the information you didn't know before the fight. |

Kill id is right there in the link, kll_id=11779.
Lets try this again: http://whkills.info/?a=kill_related&kll_id=11779 If that does not work, click on this: http://whkills.info/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=11790 then go to related kills. For some reason its based on the CCP forum setting and how it does redirect. If you are sent to a page first you will open the battle report no problem, but if you get a pop up you will get a broken link.
Not sure how I can fix it, just open up the page and delete "amp;" from url. |

They'd bombed one of our sabres earlier in the evening, about an hour or so later ( give or take ) we caught one of their proteus on a nullsec hole in dynamic off of our home. We found their home, formed up when we saw 10 or so subcaps on scan + 2 thanatos and the preperation began.
They warped a moros to their static when we had a HIC bubble on it, poor intel or poor judgement i'm not sure. He got 1 hero rep cycle off and managed to SD =[ My flatmate got home drunk JUST as the fight was about to start, or i'd have had another bhaal there to stop this travesty...it wasn't particularly even, we had about 15-20 odd including 3 guardians and they brought about 10-12 iirc? but it was their home, so meh, take what you can get aye?
Can't say for sure why we didn't catch more, but it was a nice break to the tedium of rolling & scanning!

Step aside my esteemed corpmate, I'll fill in the gaps.
I logged in just after the Sabre/Proteus trade, and everyone on our side was itching for a fight. They didn't want to. So, after a half hour of waiting, we said "screw it" and shifted our attention back to our static. However, we also anchored a bubble in their system on their static, and although they watched most of us leave, they apparently were unaware that one of us had stayed to keep an eye on them. So, a half hour later, they decided to crash their static.
Unfortunately the bubble we anchored was **** placement, and their Moros, Abaddon, Mega, Falcon and Proteus all warped to zero. We made speed there, got into their system, then the Moros jumped through and critted it. Their Abaddon pilot ejected, and we boarded it thinking we might make use of the ship, but ended up destroying it anyway. We were hoping they would warp over carriers and escalate the fight, with Moros+Thanatos on their side, and us stuck in subcaps and cut off from our home system. Instead, they just kind sat there, so we logged in alts and started bumping/killing their Moros on the other side.
With just alts and a few latecomers, it took a while to chew down the Moros, and even though we offered ransom, he refused. The image posted is a composite of a Bhaalgorn's ship scanner from early in the fight, along with my alt's view from killing him on the other side, but it's the same Moros. The killboard might not show it, but they know what they lost. |

I've seen some wh blobs that came close to some of the bigger roams you regularly see in null. Enough that I couldn't even get a count. It's starting to get a little crazy in the higher-class holes. It's time to put an end to CCP's war on piracy. Fight your own battles and stop asking CCP to do it for you. |

Two towers in the system with a ton of empty ships in the shields, both with no defense mods or guns. One tower had a couple of drakes, oracles, a broadsword and a tengu shooting at it. Our rapier slowboated over gets a point on the tengu and in come the frigates. We start killing everything. Meanwhile, covops alt watched their entrance wormhole. Proteus joins the fun and gets permajammed by the kitsune. A falcon and stealth bomber were both in system but chose not to engage apparently. I'm not brilliant at this but if the falcon had decloaked and jammed the kitsune at the very least it'd have delayed the proteus' death and allowed it to kill a few of us.
It was our first time taking the frigate fleet into a wormhole, I hope we do it again sometime. Despite the frustration of scanning it turned out to be really fun. |

Assault ships? Roll the brawler tech 3s. Kite fleet? Roll the brawler tech 3s. Gassing cruisers? Roll the brawler tech 3s. Stealth bombers? ROLL THE BRAWLER TECH 3s!

We brought in one at last minute and got 1 from Dogpile at last minute also, only had 3 as you initially jumped in. Is that a cheeky attempt at intel gathering though? :P we heard of a fight, so we came! Thankyou for delivering. Yeah that falcon was in dire straights, we all had reps on him the hole fight haha, though he was pivotal in breaking your logistics!
We had a cloaky loki following your fleet in, but you collapsed the crit hole ( which we didnt know was crit btw...lol! ) and locked him out, much to his dismay! gave us the chance to get the HIC on the hole though & stop your ECM pulling range, they would have really messed with our guards i imagine. Dogpile stuff may have lived if they'd have broadcasted, they witheld because they didn't want to detract from our t3's...bless :D
Nice 'lil trap layed by both of us, our falcon was minnie/caldari due to what we'd previously seen of your fleet comp, so jamming your guards was interesting to say the least...

One cool thing about w-space is the spectrum of fun it provides. We all like to read about the big fights in C5/6 with capitals, T3s and Bhaalgorns sprinkled all over the place, but don't forget that small, fun things happens in C2s and C3s all the time.
This is a lot of words about very few kills. It's a anticlimax story, the opposite of blobbing and big battles with caps and stuff.

The other day, BUGRY did what it is best known for, which is destroying interbus POCOs.
http://suddenbuggery.griefwatch.net/?p=details&kill=1044
We set this up by warping a covops to the POCO at 100km, and lurking it for seven weeks, guaging its daly movements to the finest detail, logging its transactions and taxation output to the most minute detail via a publicly accessibly Googledocs excel spreadsheet our spy eventually leaked to TALUN, LOST and KILL, who knew our every move before my mails could be leaked to EVE Skunk.
With secrecy thus guaranteed, we decided to make a move midweek, to catch interbus off-guard; the plan worked flawlessly. We warped a fleet at least five times this size to the POCO, consisting mostly of cloaky falcons, 40% Ironclad guardians and a buttload of cloaked ECM armour Tengus you don't see on the killmail as they were there to catch the counteratttack.
The counterattack never came. So we jacked the tax up to 69%, set the reinforce for a time of day we could not possibly defend, and stealthily left the system in full view of all the spies, alts and cloaky campers which we never knew were there.
high fives all round. But it wasn't our primetime, either, or we'd have brought more. The skilful employer of men will employ the wise man, the brave man, the covetous man, and the stupid man. Sun Tzu localectomy.blogspot.com.au

This week the fights just kept coming!
Last Tuesday:
Verge Of Collapse (CRIT) VS The Elysian Empire (ELYSI)
After scanning the chain in the evening we came across the mighty VoCGÇÖs WH. We expected them to be out hunting in nullsec as usual by the looks on the KB. The chain looked something like this: Home->C5s->C5a->C5c->VoC
We quickly assembled on our static with some t3GÇÖs and guardians, a bhaalgorn, couple of bcGÇÖs/ bsGÇÖs and a backup carrier and went out for the hunt. Stopping on C5a side to C5c, the order was given to send out some bait and surely after some time they all returned from their NS ops and we saw more people log in. VoC being clever pvpGÇÖers as they are, they sent out some scouts to check for possible hostile backup. They found us fiddling our thumbs waiting for the action in the C5a. The strange thing was they sent back their scouts, you would think they would leave something behind to keep an eye on us right?
And so we returned our bait from their static and let them sit on the C5c side to C5a so that they didnGÇÖt have full advantage straight on their home static.
This is what happened:
EE side view http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkMtZauvs7I&feature=related (note that guardian pilot prolly had one too many bears lol)
VOC side view http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-3OvUSdH8c
Great fight VOC \o/
Last Thursday
Elysian Empire VS Insidious Design
Insidious Design: ex Talacon United
Whilst running sites in our home system reports come in from having an hostile scanner and Hound on scan. Our PVE fleet immediately gets ready to clear from site. Once almost all have warped off, the hostile Hound kept stealing wrecks. With our bloodthirsty mind in set we went looking for their home k162 wormhole. After a few cycles of scanning our scout reports their home system and a cov ops has been sent in to keep an eye on them. We assemble fast with various T3's, 3 Guards, a Bhaalgorn, some ecm, an archon and a thanny on standy. Once everyone is assembled our scout reports a few caps and various other ships being manned including a bhaalgorn! The Green light has been given and we all warp to the k162 and bubble op on the other side.
More pilots from the opposite side started to log on and prepare and after some chatter in local they start aligning and all warp to their static. They warped in about the same amount but they had the upper-hand on capitals. This system being a cataclysmic: giving local rep a negative and the remote a bonus effect which ended up making their spider tanking carriers insane.
Having killed their Rev but lose our Archon and gets replaced by a Thanny which closed the hole and we were here to stay!!
We knew that in order to keep an even fight we could not let them re-ship so a fast tackler was assigned to kill their pods.
They kept bringing in more ships with other characters including a Moros because they knew the wh had closed on us. Swapping out kills it was pretty even after 15 minutes, but then our Thanny dropped. It just couldnGÇÖt tank all the dps from the Moros in this system. This ment tanking everything with 2 of our guardians against their incoming dps, ecm from the scorp and neuts from the Bhaalgorn. It was pretty much over at this point, so going for the last easy kills (Tengu) we leave the wrecked battlefield. After some gfGÇÖs exchange in local we luckily had a t3 with probes and managed to find us a decent exit point.
Killmails speak for themselves http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=13985809
All in all great fights this week! Can't wait till we meet again \o/
Cheers

If I hadn't been busy with RL I would have been there too with one of my chars, flying for the losing side *g* I wonder if I had made a difference, I'm actually quite good at wormhole closing and led several successful defensive operations against a much larger force. Anyway, since I wasn't there I shouldn't say too much, but the guys who asked for help (and supposedly led the effort) provided very little intel beforehand and most of that intel was wrong. We also didn't know about any nullsec batphoning and when I heard that Talocan was involved I warned our guys that they shouldn't even try to engage in open battle because you guys would vastly outnumber us with 100% certainty. There were members of Solar Fleet in the second engagement. As for the apparent errors in the tale, the operation is still ongoing. A few small discrepancies were added for OpSec's sake. (For example, it was originally their hole. Now it is our hole because we've invaded it.) The general nature of the tale is still true, though.

People have this fairly wrong. German corps (of which there was several) plus Solar fleet and the Kadeshi had ship count over 40 not including any cloakies in system. Not all were hitting the POS, they were split between POS and hole control etc. (as you should be). And who knows how many they had in fleet!
The 80 people in fleet did not represent the true numbers of ships, nor does the 50 or 20 on the battle report.
You'll notice that the most people on any ship was 35 and though we probably had more like 40, the other side had people who managed to jump, managed to warp off or just didn't warp to the fight. In the video you see there are at least 25 hostile ships on the field at any one time (their fault for warping in at different times).
What would you have us do - "Hey guys, they have 40+ ships here hitting our POS and we have 45 people wanting to come" "No, just bring 20 and tell the others to go back to DayZ, we're looking for a FAIR FIGHT here, damnit!"
Ultimately none of this matters because if you are not looking to win then why are you fighting at all? Welcome to EVE online, here's your rubix cube, go F*** yourself GÖÑ |

The non believers had this to say...
Victim 2 > oh come on Victim 2 > that is not playing fair Sith1s Spectre > http://s1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa480/homon/?action=view¤t=lordstrollface.jpg Victim 2 > that's your mother?
After the above chat, the heathens then logged off to repent in their blasphemous ways.
Sith1s Spectre looked around and saw that Bob's work had been done and was very pleased. |

does ganking a pair of drakes somehow qualifies as a "report-worthy battle" now? |

Normally good sir, I would agree with you. However, as it was a slow night I thought I would post something hoping of seeking His favor.
If you have something that you have done recently that you believe is more worthy, please post it up.
May Bob be with you.

DT vs Quantum Explosion
Batlle Report
Great little fight, we had been watching these guys in their C6 and looking at their KB knew they would be up for a fight. Our holes were seperated by a null and c5. We saw their probey legion enter the null system and decided to see what happened.
I jumped my carrier in and started running a sanctum................... almost immediately probes were out and then gone, I knew he now had eyes. Next thing 4 tengus and 2 machs land at the c6 to c5 hole, party on. The legion decloaks and I warp to the planet im aligned closest to our WH. This is where we were sprung, the legion didn't follow, he instead dropped core probes and found our WH. This evened the field.
At this point Quantum warped a chim and nag to the connecting hole, We had triage chim, 3 Bhaalgorns, 3 RR Tengus and a Loki. Beliveing we would win the fight with cap warfare we stood our ground and the fight started. I called for the Bhaalgs to quickley cap out the Chim then was going to split them up over the remaining subcaps. What happened next we wasnt expecting, the chim was bouncing from 0 to 3000 cap with 21 neuts on it!!!!!!!! This stopped us being able to spread neuts onto the subcaps effectively allowing the subcap rr chain to hold reps.
Damage turned onto the triage carrier and was supprisingly high, I did try to bring a bonus toon in to stabalize it but it was too little to late.
In hindsight we should have brought a blap Moros for some much needed DPS, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
All in all great fightand props to Quantup for the fun. |
