so today I went to install the patch for eve, I noticed it would take a while, so I decided to sit back and play some audiosurf while I waited for the download. the download finishes and the install starts running while I'm in the middle of a song, I can see what its doing so I let it run, then halfway through the install, the computer freezes up. At first, I thought this was a problem on the part of audiosurf, so I decided to just let it run again while I made tea. I downloaded the patch from the site, since the half finished install had borked my client, and ran it, but when it got to caldaristationsrex9.stuff, or something like that, the computer froze up AGAIN. Thats when I realized that it was the PATCH that was causing my computer to crash. Then I went and downloaded the full client, AGAIN, the install breaks and my computer freezes.
CCP, my skill finishes in 1 day, and 7 hours, you have until then to fix this AND YOU BETTER FIX THIS. __________________________________________________ I was Amarr before they were the FOTM and I'll be Amarr after it! I'm also training Minmatar Capitals! And I eat Lions! |

Too bad you can't use that beast to play EVE. -----------------------------------------

There's something seriously FUBAR happening if your computer locks up while installing a file.

Try this. Goto "Start Menu" - Select "Run" - in the box type "%temp%" without the "". Delete all files that u can delete, make sure your eve patch installation is not running while deleting the files. Try to install it again

<----- Click that "Bug reporting" link.
Threats about fixing get you lolled at for emorage. So here goes.. LOL! Somehow I still expect its your pc. Just cos you have over 9000 cores and 50billion tb of ram doesnt make it "not the pc".
Get a fresh client.
Also I installed Tetris. Tetris runs at 9000 fps on maxed settings, so Crysis should run on maxed settings at over 9000fps too. Right? That is your logic anyway.
Go on, give it a press! |

Probably the PC.
I couldn't believe the fact my "up to date" PC couldn't run a certain piece of USB hardware. Alas - There it is, running perfectly on a cheap ú200 System I bought just to run it.
Funny.
Still, Bug Reporting exists for a reason.
