I hate escrow, and its hard to compair prises there, why cant we sell them on ordinary market? it would make things so much easyer...and maybe even make named items cheaper...

The RP answer is that named items are 'modded' by the factions and therefor not sanctioned for market sales. The non RP answer is that it would add 4* as many items to the market, and brake the database or something. |

The simplest answer would be to FIX the ESCROW !
put in an automatic naming field to stop Frickin MORONS putting in 1 unit of Veldspar and trying to sell it at 100,00,00 isk with a name like UBAR RARE BS ..
yes you have to be dumb to fall for it but I'm truly sick of having to inspect the damn escrow to be 100% certain that the rare mod I was waiting for isn't a bloody over priced Shuttle !
----------------------------------------------------- In space .. no-one can hear you munching crisps in the back seat of your Hauler ! ----------------------------------------------------- Show me the money |

The 'named' items are modded and also deemed illegal on the normal market.
Why do u think rats carry them, cos they r off the blackmarket. ----------------------------------------

I *Always* inspect the escrow. My grandpa used to say: "Trust everyone, but cut the cards yourself." In other words, don't take chances.
--------------------------------------------------- The Light does not make men whole. Men are Dark; not the Dark of villany or vileness we are so accustomed to, but the Dark of dark, rich soil, or the dark of the sky at night. |

My quess why we cant sell named loot on market is that if we could, there would be like 3000 more items to view. Marked would be useless and hard to find stuff in. So fix escrow instead. Maybee all items should have the header with their name on it so you dont have to look around that much. Separating bp:s and items would be good to.

having escrows automatically naming whats in them in the description would stop alot of nagging, instead of players typing it in manually.

That's fine for individual items, but when you're escrowing lots of stuff this would break down.

Because, apparently, CCP: 1. Dont want us to make any sales of named modules due to the fact that Escrow only displays the 200 (iirc) most recent entries. Of course, the list is at all times bloated with duplicate sales for the same item, many things you arnt interested in buying, as well as units of veldspar masquerading as battleships. CCP obviously dont want anyones named items to be visible on the market for more than a few hours.
2. Nevermind the sellers. CCP doesnt like the buyers either. The same forces that push your escrows off the visible list in double short time, also ensure that, unless you are looking to buy something in extreme demand, you arn't going to see the sales.
3. CCP also dislikes traders. Imagine if traders could use buy and sell orders to match regional supply and demand for modules!? Clearly something is wrong if people can make money by doing some activity other than staring at asteroids all day.
The situation is rotten, and has been added to my "list of things that make me question why I play this game".

That covers it well I would say. My best bet to find named items, or sell them are the ingame market channels, the market forum, or dedicated loot shops. Escrow can be good for such things as well, but it is crowded and especially in known systems that get a lot of traffic it can be hard to find what you're looking for. Or make money of that nice item you looted.

Escrow naughtiness is now a bannable offence. if you do it pull them off now! If you see someone doing it, report them! Putting named mods on escrow will make them far too accessible, they are supposed to be rare and only available to those who make an effort to get them. ------------------------------------------------ I've always owned Kehmor, cheap as chips off Ebay
