I logged on the other day, after a hard day at work (summerjob), and my evil eye spotted a RUS mining operation!
I did some scanning and found them in belt VII - 1 in NIF-JE. I patiently waited till one of their indies warped into the belt, as the miners were all flying apocalypses.
After waiting a few minutes, Bane Silvermoon warps in with his Iteron Mark V. I did the same and a few minutes later Bane was no more.

I flew around the belt a bit, being harrased by drones, and my eye spotted an Exequror and a Thorax mining somewhat away from the evil apocalypses. I warped out to repair my armour and to recharge some shields. I then warped back into belt VII - 1 and targetted the Exequror, I was expecting drones to be launched from the Thorax but nothing happened. So I proceeded to shoot at the Exequror, resulting in it's death.

As drones were all over me again, I decided to warp out and repair. When I warped back in for a second look, a Malediction had warped into the belt. Apparently it was there to catch me. Unfortunatly for him, I landed 4 km from him at warp-in point. Quickly the webifier and scrambler were turned on, before my Russian bride noticed what was happening to him. With very little resistance the Malediction went down.

All we had left now in the belt, was evil apocalypses with scary drones. I harassed them for a while, killing their cans, warp scrambling them but to no avail. After a while though, they started warping out, and the only thing left were some heavy drones.
I had decided I had enough of this system and wanted to move to P7-45V. Just as I am about to jump into P7-45V, I notice Tusmule appearing in local. I knew he flew an apocalypse and I also knew he had left his drones behind in the belt. The perfect victim for the Taranis of Doom!
I waited for him at the jump in point in P7-45V. After waiting for a few minutes, Tusmule arrived! I quickly approached him and managed to get him scrambled. It was time for pain! I turned on my blasters and started eating his shields. But then I noticed this in local:

Tusmule > !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He was asking for help! With the 7 other RUS guys in local, I was afraid that this attack would just be a waste of ammo. Nonetheless I decided to stick with it for as long as possible. After taking down his shields I was biting in his armour, but his RUS friends were not there to help him yet. Did they not see him talk in local?
I was biting my nails, praying that the other people in local did not see his call for help. His armour was down, I was ripping his structure to shreds! Please Lord, just give me 1 more minute! Then, my lock disappeared and i was unsure what had happened, maybe he finally warped out?
Luckily, I saw a pod eject from the apoc and the apoc went down in flames!

They all deserved to die as none had the three pieces of essential equipment to combat pesky intys - SmartBombs, Nos's and Webbers. Had you been webbed Mr Taranis of Doom you would have been toast ! Assuming a Nos eas used to suck your cap dry while 1-2 SB's were blasting away.
On the other hand I also consider it a waste of time to mine in low sec (0.4-) space but that's just me...
You wanna me real uber - come into Empire Space and try all that while the Concord's are after ya - LOL ! |

Why would you need to run the MWD once you're in range? Unless the target has missiles of course.

lets see, scanner tells me i have 18 pirahna light missiles on my tail. i think not i will turn it off.
