Do I need level 4 hacking and archaeology, or do I need a T2 module?
Can anyone tell me what I need to complete this successfully. You would think if it would come down to clearing a site completely and then being disappointed when you can't claim the loot you desired... that they would post this information somewhere obvious.

What level is your hacking/archeology skill at? I dont think a t2 mod is required, but some sites do require certain level of hacking / archeology skill.

Level III Hacking/Arch is all I have and both work on Class 3 sites.

Tried level 3 in arch and hacking... didn't work. Can't find information anywhere on the level/module requirements for this task. Pretty ridiculous if you as me.

T2 analyzer/codebreaker only have a higher chance for the draw to give a succesfull hack/analyse of the can. Ergo: you're faster
I have trained up the skills to lvl4 and had no probs so far, although I hadn't access to a class 4+ until now :(
Only real advice I can give.. I had probs with cans very early as exploration was new and these skills had been at lvl2.. so I would guess, train 'em up.

I spent the weekend searching through wormholes for hacking/archaelogy sites (magnometric & radar?). All I could find were gravimetric and ladar signatures (asteroid belts & gas fields).
I'm filtering for cosmic signatures & was in low sec wormholes (most were class 3).
Do i need to find higher class wormholes or am I doing something wrong?

well, i know for certain that arch 4 works for some c4 and c5 sites. Guess it's the same with radars

Just to update: You need the skills at 5 to use the T2s

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I think I'll just get it up to 4 and see how that goes... if it fails then I'll know I need lvl 5, and T2 modules... The training time is pretty intense for that though... so lets hope not
