I was thinking about this and came to the conclusion that this would be great fun!!!
Lets say you're a corp and you want to control system X.
System X has 3 jumpgates (controled by CONCORD) that jump into your 0.0 system.
So you mount an assault and destroy all three jumpgates.
You then drop a deployable module and build your own jumpgate. However you program it and all your sentry guns around it to attack anyone who isn't on your 'friends' list.
Now you have system X to yourself.
If an enemy wanted to attack you (and your station(s) you own in System X or beyond), they would have to build their own jumpgate into YOUR system.
All the while you're attacking them preventing them from doing so (basically a siege).
If they succeed they can now jump into your system and then attack your stations.
What do you guys think?

To be honest, I think Jumpgates as they are now are lame.
The way they are setup isn't even all the sensical.
I would prefer having a system warp in point and just flying direct.
