Good day.
After an involuntary hiatus from EVE (computer went POOF - it wasn't fun), I've recently returned to the New Eden.
Clearly, this is an alt, and a brand new one at that. Quite frankly, it is due to the fact that I'm incredibly picky about corporations in game, and I've been unable to find one that supports my trading addiction beyond asking me how I make money.
First, a thank you. The discussions in these forums have been invaluable to me throughout my EVE career, from the first week I started and continuing today. Thank you to everyone who continues to pour true critical thinking into their posts. A special thanks to those who have created the remarkable trading tools - I'm constantly amazed.
Thanks Hexxx for all of your informative posts. The clear, concise instructions have helped this MD newb find direction amongst the chaos.
The primary purpose of this post being to introduce myself, I suppose I could start with real life. I'm in my late 20s and live less than an hour from New York City . Career-wise, I'm a hybrid of sorts between logistics and a trader. Specifically, I short and long ocean freight. I can't believe they pay me to do it. Seriously.
In game, I'm a carebear, although I've lived significant portions of my life in null sec, it was primarily to provide material and logistical support to my corp and alliance mates, and I'm pretty darn good at it.
Thankfully, I'm no longer involved in that.
It is my intention, over an extended period of time, to continue to educate myself and hopefully contribute where I can in the MD. Ultimately, it is my goal to identify a service or product in need, and to provide that with the highest level of quality and professionalism.
As one might guess from the vagueness of that statement, I'm a long way off from realizing that goal. However, I'm confident I'll find my way over time.
Which brings me to my final thoughts: Thanks for humoring this incredibly verbose MD newb. I look forward to many spirited discussions ahead. Your constructive feedback and cut-throat competition will always be welcome.
