Since my laptop is gone for two weeks due to repairs I bought this video card to put in my server so I could play on that while my laptop is being repaired. I have tried the catalyst drivers, and the omega drivers. Both install fine but for some reaosn dxdiag keeps telling me this: Direct3D functionality not available. You should verify that the driver is a final version from the hardware manufacturer.
Which of course keeps eve from running, I installed from cd, splash screen shows, and it hangs.
The problem must somehow be related to the fact that I'm using windows 2003 server on this machine. As it also runs active dir, dns, dhcp and what not for my network I don't really feel like putting xp on it.
Rest of the specs:
AMD duron overclocked to 1600mhz 256mb DDR 40gig 8mb cache HD And now ofcourse the ATI 9200se
Runs on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise edition. I have tried both the latest catalyst and omega drivers. DirectX 9c is installed, the one for the Windows 2003 server family.
Any thoughts?

more than likly compatibility issues. tho i woulda thought eve would eat your gfx card from brekky. i do know that the login screen needs to fire up the 3d engine, and it would seem that something, either drivers or hardware is not letting it start up that engine. have you got another card to try?? -------------------------------------------

server 2k3 has all DX features disabled by default.
You need to turn up the graphics acceleration, enable the sound and turn the acceleration up on that as well.
That should then allow you to play eve but at the cost of possible instability later. I would suggest setting everything back to software only when you get another PC to play it on.

Yep hardware acceleration for the vidcard was what did it. Thanks alot. It doesn't seem to work if u just install it from the cd tho, it then hangs at the ususal audio error, the downloaded version however does work. Thanks.
