It's claimed that everything is possible in EVE, but in reality everything revolves around blowing other people up. If you stop blowing up other players, you find yourself with nothing to do, except mining, industry, or playing the markets, but those are also driven by blowing other people up.

I guess CCP has the right to contort EVE into a Gordian Knot of absurdity by abandoning logic and pursuing the aimless wishes of a handful of "cool kids" (in their own immaturity - regardless of age) with whom they are impressed. It may very well be CCP has reached the limits of their inventiveness and imagination. Just because you can write code and wish for something really cool doesn't mean you can design a cogent, long lasting game.

Many have tried and failed at inventing games. Many games have lasted the test of time (read: centuries). Turning EVE from a sandbox to a server full of victims for parasitic sociopaths? CCP has the right, but it's not a game, nor is it a sandbox. It may appeal to a certain element, but I can't see any future in it. My guess is, therefore, they've put all their eggs in the Sony/Playstation/Dust-bin and have forsaken EVE.

Of course, you can't get the truth from THEM, as they're a corporation (read: professional liars.)

So...you're either a ganker or a victim. Too bad. To have such potential reduced to a farcical passtime for sociopaths...well, I guess they're people, too. Maybe CCP should apply to the UN for charity status to get some credit for turning EVE into a haven for the mentally ill.

Believing human beings, a species that has based it's entire existence on either becoming superior or destroying those they deem inferior will ever get along is a great way to set yourself up for failure in a world where they are the dominant species.
