Ithildin	Posted - 2004.08.29 11:04:00 - [5] Apoc is the best miner if you mine high-end. 5 more harvesters do not mine more 16 unit ore than 2 more lasers. The mere fact that it takes aeons to train Gallente BShip to level 5 makes the Apoc the winner, easily. -- If TC causes you discomfort that you feel is unwarranted or may be outside TC's current contract - contact me, please.

Sarqindi	Posted - 2004.08.29 19:21:00 - [15] I've seen a lot of questions about Osprey (Scythe) on different forums, and the math is actually very simple. With level 3 in the Cruiser skill, each Osprey (Scythe) miner, regardless of type, regardless of skills is worth 1.6 miner on another ship. So with the 3 possible miners, it equals 4.8 miners. With level 4 in the Cruiser skill, it equals 5.4 miners and with level 5 in the Cruiser skill it's 6 miners worth.

Eve rounds the ore pull down to the nearest integer of ore, so if you have pulled 7.9 volumn of ore, you only end up with 7 units being pulled. However, Eve does this rounding after all of the bonuses have been applied, so with the x2 multiplier, you end up with 15.8 units being pulled, rounded down to 15 units, more than 2*7. Typically, you will only get, at most, one extra unit of ore out of this, but for the high volumn, high value ores, this is a very significant improvement over simply having twice as many mining lasers. Harry Voyager Addendum: With maxed skills, the Osprey will pull 33 units of 16m^3 ore per minute, while the Mega and Apoc will pull 35 and 40 units, respectively. The Osprey still pulls slightly less, but as it is a 2m cruiser, will low fittings needed, it is practically a disposable ship.

Yes u can mine more ore with the apoc but if u lose it u lose ~105 M, wath is the price of a obspery or a schyste, 5 M ?? Then for me best miner is obsprey or schyste if u are mining in 0.0 to 0.4 and apoc in 0.5 to 1.0. bye
