ok got him t2 strips with the crystals a cargo hold of 13000+
well its slow i kan put mlu 1 ,soon 2 will it make a difference
and of course i am aiming towards 2 cargo rigs will he be much better or.....:)

If you were mining in a Covetor before, the difference isn't THAT huge, if I recall correctly it's only 15% better assuming Exhumers V. It's more of a long term investment, as that 15% does add up.

how can you be disappointed ? have u T2 crystals? have u Exumer V? get MLU II the hulk can Fit 2 of these with ease

You're just blinded by your style of play Akita. All you see is isk, how your time is only isk and how your fun of play is all about isk.
I don't mind the profits so much, mining crappy ore and the other stuff that ain't worth much but hangs about is all about relaxation and the feel of it. I think all the hard core miners don't have profits very high on their priority list at all.

Bitter much ?
The OP was complaining he's dissapointed by the Hulk, not me.
I was simply pointing out the fact that mining as a whole is quite dissapointing ISK-wise, and he shouldn't expect a huge ISK income level jump from the "next best thing" to the Hulk.
Or how else would YOU interpret the thread title ?!?

no i hoped at least more cargo space
istead of mlu i putted 2 cargo ups II gives me 13000+ m3
and as soon i get put my hands on cargo rigs then maybe i will put mlu ...
and i mine because i like it and of course is a nice add hehe:)

With two cargo rigs and cargo expanders instead of MLUs a hulk holds 17,199 m^3. That's about 10 minutes of alt-tabbed mining or 40 minutes of alt-tabbed ice harvesting. It may not be good ISK for at-keyboard play, but it's GREAT ISK when trading, watching TV or the kids, playing other games...

yes i knew the cargo space of the ship but thought you could expand it easyly
i was 8000 m3 nog with the 2 cago expanders II 13000 m3 allready have a rig but need to learn astonautics rigging lev 1 and jury rigging level 3 before even been able to use it:)

How much hold space where you expecting to get?
As it is the hulk has 2x the base cargo cap of a covetor, so you do get an increase, but you'll fill that in 2-3 cycles.
The main benefit of the hulk is its tank, because of the 4 mids, you can fit a decent shield tank which should see off the alpha of most of the high sec pirate types and cover you until concord arrives.
To make optimal use of a hulk, you need to employ a hauler alt or corp member, drop the CB II, and fit 2 mlu II, with T2 strips and crystals.
If the hauler has Mining forman 5, you should be pushing 1750-1800m3 per strip per cycle, which will fill a maxed out Itty 5 in about 10 mins.

The Hulk really shines in its ability to tank about any belt-spawn in 0.0, if properly fitted, so you don't need to have a tanker in place. If you bring a 0.0-tanking Hulk into empire, you might even surprise a suicider 
Note: for mining-ops of at least 3 people it's of course better to have a command-ship with mining-links tank the spawns, and equip the hulks with MLUs.

no the skills really go fast thats true my only question left is u need jury rigging lev3
astronautics lev1,is there any bonus if u take them higher?

if u train jury rigging/astronautic rigging higher, the benefit is a reduction in the drawback to the rigs

Hulks are very good ships. As people above have said, shield tanks well.
There are other ships you can use if you want more cargo. The Orca, with 5 mining drone 2s.
Thats a good point, add 5 mining drone 2s to your hulk and that will increase your yeild.

hulks are awesome. 60m an hour mining arkonor is fun. the 15% really does add up after a while |
