Best idea ever. Titan DD is perfectly fine. Great power comes with great responsibility. A loss of a titan can be a huge hit to moral of an alliance, besides being very costly. DDs require coordination, friendly DD anyone? @OP: there is this other game you should checkout it's called WoW you may have heard of it.

Imho that should be the role of Titans. Big guns to kill Capitals and maybe even Battleships plus some fleet support.

Like this it seems like the perfect compliment to a fleet of dreadnoughts, and could replace a battleship fleet for anti support with the doomsday device. You jump bridge in the dreads, with the titan following. Any battleships or HICs that run in for the tackle or warp into grid to snipe get doomsdayed. The damage on titan guns in siege mode is also higher than a dreads, which makes me wonder if they originally planned to allow siege modules on titans in the first place. It would certainly make them viable as more than a glorified smartbomb, and I would actually want to fly one of these if they were changed.

If an alliance wants to build another titan, they need to reword their sovereignty and risk attack. Titan gets its doomsday taken away, but instead is able to stack 2 siege modules. 6 guns, 2 siege modules. This would mean it would have upwards of 15x the damage of a dread in siege and 4x the tank. You would see much fewer titans of course so an alliance could not go around with 10 and volley capital ships. _________________

Titans at the very least should not be allowed to cloak. Its sad that titans of all ships are practically required to have a cloak, mwd, and agility mods. They're not fleet ships. OR give a random chance to probes finding cloaked ships based on the ship sig rad. Small ships are difficult to find while larger ships are a bit easier. Currently the best way to kill a titan is meta gaming or waiting till the game bugs out.
