Hey there.
I've recently reached the sufficent skills to fly either ceptors and a Vagabond, and I'm eager to get into the world of speedtanking.
The problem is, I'm too used to the lazy keep at range / orbit at 500 maneuvre that so far worked well with the type of ships I was flying.
Since I can't be arsed to buy a load of Stabbers and rig them to "simulate" a vagabond (not that I can do anything similar with a pseudo-ceptor either) I would like to be as informed as possible so I don't screw up when PvPing on them.
I've been told orbits just don't cut it, so I want to learn how to pilot right manually, and what kind of tricks I can do.
If there is a guide I would appreciate you linking it, otherwise any tips about manual piloting are welcome. ---<---@ JackFalcord |

hi cat here
firstly you dont need to buy lots of stabbers you can just go on the test server and buy like a gajillion vagabonds for 100isk each lol
also manual piloting is just clicking furiously into space there are tips and tricks like try to keep your transversal velocity compared to your target high
and also you can do crazy ivan moves where you run away and then double back once your enemy is chasing you

So that people who are allergic to her posts can filter them out by reading the first three words instead of readin the post and suddenly realising. Not everyone checks names/avatars ______________________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

Wow, some people take this stuff way too seriously. Have a sense of humor guys; Cat's opening line is her "thing" just like the way Kramer always came busting through a door in Seinfeld. It's a bit of shtick.
If you peeps find Cat's posts so offensive, then why draw even more attention to them by always making counter posts? Jeez, lighten up. It's not like she's burning up your allotment of pixels by posting. |

Because that's part of the fun.

There's no guide afaik ever written by players, or anybody else.
If your broke, then try out the test server, you can fit an entire vaga for about 2k isk, and then go practice.
Because thats the only thing thats ever going to make you good at it, is practice.
You can also try prowling the "MY EVE" section where all the video's are posted up. Look for some of the Vaga/inty fights in there and watch what they did.
There was a nano sac video by a AAA guy named Crusher(spelled with numbers) called Madness, that was what got me into flying that ship about a year ago (o nano sac, how i miss thee). Those are the types of things your looking for.
