I recently started a research project with a research agent after raising standing, skills, etc. I got an email saying that a snag had come up in research *and that my research had been stopped* until I came to talk to him.
Well I'm about to take a long trip and don't feel like going to talk to him. I looked up the issue in the support section, as well as a couple of FAQ's. The consensus is that research "stops" however you are still eligible for being in the lottery and can still win a BPO even if you're in this "research stopped" state.
I looked at the RP/day and "current status" fields under my agent's information page. "Current status" appears to be how many RP's i have accumulated to date. This number keeps going up, even though I have ignored my agent's mission. So it seems I'm still accumulating RP's. I have checked this number several times and each time I check it is higher than the previous time.
So what gives? How does research "stop" if "current status" RP's keep going up? Am I missing something? Please help. I hope the answer is I can just blow off the email and keep getting RP's because I won't be able to see the agent for a couple of weeks. Please confirm or deny. I don't care that I won't get the mission's bonus RP's, just as long as I'm in the lottery and have a chance.

U still get RP if u dont do the missions. u just get som extra RP i u do them
