Megathron.
Turret based ships are more fun for PvE imo and its a very good PvP ship (in before OMFG Amarr fanbois) |

you should train for tech ii turrets and other supporting skills or else you'll be screwed anyway when you get to using the battleships. train turrets, engineering, powergrid, and capacitor skills, and mechanic skills that will help your eventual tank. OH AND ALSO DRONES!!!!!!! by the time you have all of those nailed down well, you had better know which BS you want and you should also be able to fly them all well anyway so it shouldn't matter. |

It really does depend on what you are doing, but for me and the way I play. I would go with the Mega, possibly after you get sentries, you may want to revisit the Domi, but until then, the mega is more versatile.
Mega can fill sniping roll or do the close range stuff. The Domi cannot play the range game without sentries, and even with the sentries the Mega is still better at that role. |

If you've already got strong drone skills it makes more sense to me for your building onto that strength and therefore that you should go for the Dominix first - you can always focus on a Megathron later.

For PvE, Dominix all the way.
For PvP, they are both great but Dominix is easier to use (with Utility Highs instead of the long to train Tech 2 Large Blasters) and much more versatile. Moreover, to fly a Megathron well in PvP, you need tech 2 Heavy Drones anyway.
So the obvious choice is to train your general support skills, train for a Dominix with t2 Heavy Drones (Sentries if you want to mission), train for t2 Large Blasters and then try a Megathron. |
