So, it appears that the price of Lab Slots (and other Slots as well) increase as time goes by until slots are ALWAYS open.

Sounds good until you actually see how much they've gone up in price since that came in...currently nothing is being done that helps to open up lab slots.
Personally I think the increase should be much more than it is now. Eventually it will force people to move their BPs around and thus people sitting on slots will eventually give up. It doesn't hurt little people, it just means BPs will have to go walkies from time to time.

Since it's been introduced the price of lab slots has reached a little over 2,000 isk, up from 1,000
If we consider that this is a doubling, rather than simply +1,000 then it will reach 4,000 in a similar span, then 8,000 16,000 32,000 and so on.
This may take a couple of month, but sooner or later they will actually get to a point where supply will match demand. The new player may not be able to afford it by then, but thatÆs just economics.
Currently I run at about 1,000,000 isk a day from bpc sales, so that is a clear break even point for my lab outlay. It's just a shame I haven't got my payment details available, otherwise I could work out when that would occur.
